Regarding the Opeth article
[edit]I felt that it was POV to assume that the band must be telling the truth - saying that they said something is probably more precise. I see that you disagree, but I am going to revert it for now - if you revert I'll leave it because I don't want a revert war, but I'd like to know why you removed it if so. -- Rediahs 07:14, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- I see that you don't agree with me... I did post here before I reverted. I never intended slander - I intended to be more precise. Wouldn't you agree that it is more precise to comment on their actions, rather than their intent? -- Rediahs 07:19, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
no. their action was dependent on their intent. your phrasing makes it sound like they were lying. i consider that slander. Faerielinds 07:21, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- I didn't intend to make it sound as though they are lying, but the old phrasing makes it seem as though there is no possible way they could be lying, which obviously isn't true. Frankly I know nothing about this band; have never heard of them and don't care about them at all, so I have nothing against them. As I've already said, if you revert now I won't continue because I don't want to get into a fight. But please don't be so hostile with your messages next time. They sounded awfully threatening and overassuming. I felt my edit was necessary, and accurate (which it is - there is no denying that, even if you think that it imparts a certain intent, the words are certainly correct). I mean no harm. I'm here for the same reasons you are. -- Rediahs 07:25, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- i don't really see anything hostile or threatening about my comment, but i appreciate what you're saying here. Faerielinds 07:43, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
