Hello, Have a nice day! I have to say I am very happy when I found Your wiki article about Joseph S. Benner. Thanks a lot! It was such difficult to find some information about Benner's phenomenon. Now I am starting to translate to czech language. Nevertheless I struck to some unclarity with birth date. Please, would you like to verify the Benner's birth date? In the Link to death certificate, there is noticed 8. January on the contrary in the article 3. Jan. Is it a mistake in article or in double fault in death certificate? I am not sure in this case. Yes, There is 2 conflicting dates, all sources will say 3 Jan, except for the death certificate, it says 8 Jan. I left it as is and put it in the See Also section. I cannot change the original reference sources. I have to give both versions because I do not know with one is correct. I will do more research.

Hello Fady Lahoud, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source.   • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you want to know, I have took it from the original source and not from copyvio from http://sidneyweltmer.wwwhubs.com/.... Who by the way took it him/her self from the original source dating back to 1925... I would suggest to you to read the original before reading the copyvio from http://sidneyweltmer.wwwhubs.com/. And the Original references was included before somebody suddenly cut them out. So if somebody else post something out of Wikipedia that does not mean it is his own material. If you read the original you will discover that copyvio from http://sidneyweltmer.wwwhubs.com/ took it from it. Please make sure of it before you draw premature conclusions. Thank you for the advise but my Goal is still at the roots of this. My ultimate goal is to uproot this type of policies and permit Wikipedia to Allow Creators to put material that is "Primarily sources and out of copyright" I know deep down inside of you, you disagree with my point of view. There's no way anyone would know that. In that case it is WP:Plagiarism. In addition to that, it's inappropriate to use Weltmer as a source in that way -- see WP:SPS for one reason - he's written that about himself, we need independent sources descussing him. Responding to your posts to me elsewhere

Background - there are well over 200 Wikipedias. There is no central controlling structure although the Wikimedia Foundations supports them in a variety of ways. The English Wikipedia has it's own policies and guidelines which are set by the community - all editors including you are part of that community. Neither co-founder can change those by himself, and one of them isn't involved in Wikipedia at all now. You can contact Jimbo at User talk:Jimbo Wales but you aren't going to get major changes. As for paid editors, there are a few working for public relations companies, etc, but I can guarantee you none of them would be interested in your articles. And of course I don't take orders from above, but I do try to guide editors about our policies and guidelines as I'm one of the more experienced editors as well as being an WP:Administrator.
