Request reason:
I was a dedicated contributor and stopped contributing because of this block. Many years have passed. My block was permanent because it was assumed that this account was a sockpuppet. It is not and never was. It was/is my main account and was my first account. NSWelshman was the secondary account. The investigation was triggered by a disagreement with an admin over the editing of the Dublin page. The editors insisted that the Dublin page should be the only city page on Wikipedia drawing its population statistics literally from the city municipal area, rather than the greater city area. I was a little hot headed and got into an edit war with someone who was friends with an admin. Had that incident not taken place, I would still be editing as Factoid Killer.
Decline reason:
There are quite a few problems with this request, starting with WP:NOTTHEM and ending with your apparent opinion that we should ignore your sockpuppetry because we got puppeteer and puppet wrong. Huon (talk) 18:50, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

This block has been in place for an entire decade. You don't think that's a little extreme?
