User talk:Fabulous Creature
In the article Tamar (Bible), you made a change that you summarized as "Calling a spade a spade, I changed 'shamefully forced to have sex' to 'raped.'" I just thought I'd make a comment on that change.
I think it was actually more impactful before the change. Sometimes we see words like "rape" and "incest" and "abuse" so often that our eyes glaze over and we hardly notice them. By spelling out the event instead of just saying "raped," I thought the person made Amnon's crime more explicit, not less explicit. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nathan000000 (talk • contribs) .
I reverted your change. The capitlization is intentional. See the Primate WikiProject. - UtherSRG (talk) 22:42, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
A request for assistance
[edit]Would you support the concept of moving the Earhart "myths" to a separate page or article? The reason for my suggesting this is that the main article should be an accurate and scholarly work while the speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding the disappearance of Amelia Earhart are interesting, they belong in a unique section. Most researchers, as you know, discount the many theories and speculation that has arisen in the years following her last flight. Go onto the Earhart discussion page and register your vote/comments...and a Happy New Year to you as well. Bzuk 05:02 3 January 2007 (UTC).
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
