Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello, FICredirect, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! StAnselm (talk) 18:26, 18 October 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of A Weed in the Church
[edit]A tag has been placed on A Weed in the Church, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ArglebargleIV (talk) 17:01, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).
A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. However, since your only purpose here is to promote your church a book, it would be better if you did not create a new account. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:18, 17 February 2012 (UTC) modified 23:02, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Any request to be unblocked should give a clear indication of what contributions you intend to make here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:02, 17 February 2012 (UTC)
Permission
[edit]FICredirect was recently blocked from performing edits on Wikipedia, due to a proposed violation of username policies. We are willing to alter our username, but would like to still maintain attribution to pages we have created.
In addition, we recently created the following article: A Weed in the Church. This page was deleted for proposed violations (G11 and G12).
Concerning copyright infringement, we simply need to provide more information as the information was provided by us (the owners). Concerning G11 (Unambiguous advertising or promotion), we would like permission to alter the page to resemble other book pages like the following: 1776 (book) and John Adams (book). Thank you. Sincerely, FICredirect (via e-mail)
- Since, at this moment, there are no pages created by you that are visible to the public or ordinary editors, the question of attribution is irrelevant. You do not need my permission to re-create your advert but I strongly recommend you to wait until someone with no COI thinks the book is notable and writes about it here. Unless you can find good independent references, the article is likely to be speedily deleted again. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:25, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
- A Weed in the Church is almost certainly not notable (that is, deserving, of its own article) - it doesn't meet the standards set out by Wikipedia:Notability (books). However, I do think it can be added as a reference to the Family integrated church article. StAnselm (talk) 10:53, 18 February 2012 (UTC)
