User talk:FCEDWIKI
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, FCEDWIKI, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was FC Edmonton, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms our use and policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! —C.Fred (talk) 19:41, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, FC Edmonton, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 19:41, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
- Also, please see the discussion at Talk:FC Edmonton. We'd like you to clarify what your relationship is with the club and whether we need to note that you are a connected contributor or a paid connected contributor. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 20:34, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi all, we created this Wikipedia user to keep our page up to date. It is run by people at our head offices, which I see is not allowed, due to conflict of interest reasons. However, our page is just so out of date and has far too many inaccuracies to be considered useful or informative. What's the best way to be able to update our page so that it is relevant? How do other teams manage their pages? Apologies to all. Our Wikipedia experience is zero. Even using this talk page thing is strange. FCEDWIKI (talk) 16:40, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
- Hello. Please note that Wikipedia has an article about your organization, but it is not "your page". If it has incorrect information, you can make an edit request on the article talk page (click "Talk" at the top of the article when viewing it). However, you will need to be unblocked first, which will require changing your username as described below; your username must identify you as an individual user (you don't have to use your real name) and not be that of an organization. You will also need to formally comply with WP:COI and WP:PAID; the latter is required if you are paid to edit here or doing so as part of your job duties.331dot (talk) 17:21, 11 June 2018 (UTC)
You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 21:19, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
