Speedy deletion of "Louisiana Red"
[edit]A page you created, Louisiana Red, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Carey Bell CD
[edit]Thanks for your comment. I wonder what this "Blues Masters" CD include. Is it a compilation of old materials, or some live recordings? I don't think it's an original album, so maybe we should make a new section under the discography for compilations and such. What do you think? --Sumori (talk) 16:13, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- It looks original ,I think we need a section Various Artist ,Guest app. Thanx for help--FAURA (talk) 17:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Lurrie Bell Discography
[edit]Thanks for your comment. I do know about the discs you recently added to Lurrie Bell discography. I have them, too. I removed them because they are not his, but he just merely makes appearances on them. I think we should limit the list to leader albums only, like most of the other artists. If you try to include every single disc he appeared on, it would make the list too complicated and long, and it would become difficult to understand which are his original works.
You may say that Lurrie does not have that many CDs so the list won't be that long, but for instance, think about it if you try to do the same for, say, Eric Clapton. I think you would undertstand why I am saying this.
If you insist that these albums to be included, I think you should at least separate them from the original leader albums, or better, start a new complete discography article. --Sumori (talk) 17:46, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Sumori . I hope you agree with me that Lurrie is very underrated, thats why i think ,his work should be listed completely.he needs to be shown with all the great musicians who invited him to play with them. The form we do it ,is up to you .Greetings--FAURA (talk) 18:16, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi FAURA. I understand that Lurrie is underrated, but I don't think that would be a good reason to load the article with every information there is. Rather, I think it would help more to stay focused on what he and his music is about.
- And probably you have misconception about Wikipedia. It is an encyclopedia, and not an advertising media. Of course it's okay to mention about the musicians he has played with, but that should not be done in a way to advertise what a great artist Lurrie is. If you are adding those discs for that purpose, I think that is inappropriate. --Sumori (talk) 04:58, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi Sumori.I don't think I have miscoception about Wikipedia! If i look at eric claptons article ,i find that every guest in his band has more space here than others. If it is conception of W. to have 'big' articles on 'big stars ',I'm wrong here.--FAURA (talk) 08:17, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
The article Chris Karrer has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Xtzou (Talk) 17:47, 27 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Teddy Charles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Riverhead (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
