Your username
[edit]Hello, ExperiencedArticleFixerBot! I noticed some of your contributions and the disclaimer at the top of your user page and this page. However, I have some bad news—your username unfortunately needs to be changed under Wikipedia's policy on misleading usernames (part of the broader username policy). Having the suffix "bot" in your username implies that this account is actually some sort of automated program.
I am very sorry that this username conflicts with current policy. For future reference, you can request a username change at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. — 3PPYB6 (T / C / L) — 14:52, 18 November 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "ExperiencedArticleFixerBot", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Sideswipe9th (talk) 19:03, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics - gender and sexuality
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to gender-related disputes or controversies or people associated with them, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hello! I reverted your comment here because it appeared to be more interested in discussing or legitimizing this movement's beliefs, and not a serious desire to improve the article.
The article text recognizes that using "gender" (as in "gender ideology") in this way is an empty signifier, and does not indicate any particular viewpoint (the term is a catchall for transgender rights, gay rights, feminism, and "all that conservative Catholics despise). Nonetheless, "anti-gender" is how most sources appear to describe this movement (not to be confused with related anti-trans movements like Gender-critical).
I hope I wasn't too harsh. If you have sources which support a better name for the article, I encourage you to reopen the discussion as a WP:Requested move. –RoxySaunders 🏳️⚧️ (💬 • 📝) 19:13, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- Maybe it appeared that way to you. You were wrong. I have no idea what made you think that and given the flag in your signature I believe you’re being overly zealous. The article doesn’t say that “gender” is an empty signifier, as you incorrectly point out. What it says is that one source contends that “gender ideology” is an empty signifier. I have a serious interest in improving the article. I thought comments were to be answered, rather than reverted. The title of the article is obviously nonsense given that most members of that movement believe in genders. It’s a simple matter of logic.
