ERNESTO RONDON HIGH SCHOOL

Ernesto Rondon High School (ERHS) was established in 1966 when San Francisco High School (former Don Mariano Marcos High School) extended an annex to Pag-asa to serve the people in that area. In August 1968, the Quezon City (QC) government converted Pag-asa annex into an independent school and was named Pag-asa High School (PHS)

It was in 1977 when PHS was transferred to its new site –in the residential community of Project 6. Because of its new location, PHS has become Project 6 High School since then.

On September 4, 1986, former Metro Manila governor Joey Lina approved the recommendation of then Over-all In Charge Mayor Brigido Simon Jr. to rename the school to Ernesto Rondon High School, in memory of the late illustrious journalist Ernesto Rondon, who in his lifetime resided in Project 6.

For 45 years, ERHS has evolved and has made a mark as one of the performing public school s in QC. It has been winning in various athletic and skills competitions. Scholastic achievements are also noteworthy in the field of Journalism, English, Science and Mathematics. ERHS had put up a special science class to further enhance the scientific, mathematical, and language and reading skills of students.

At present, spearheaded by the principal, Dr. Victoria B. Mangoso, the school has 120 teaching and non-teaching personnel and with a total of 3,912 students.
