Michael Ruse
[edit]I am puzzled why you removed the categories Canadian academics and Canadian philosophers for Michael Ruse. He spends two years in the US and becomes an American? but spends 35+ years in Canada and ceases to be a Canadian? Michael Ignatieff is a Canadian teaching at Harvard - that does not turn him into an American. I doubt very much that Ruse has American citizenship, but is a Canadian citizen working temporarily after retirement in the USA. He is not a biologist in the scientific sense, but a philosopher. Please restore the categories. "People from Ontario" is totally unhelpful, except for people who cannot be fit into a more useful category. BrentS 04:23, 13 September 2005 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:AncestorsTale2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:AncestorsTale2.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 03:06, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:AncestorsTale2.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:AncestorsTale2.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:24, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
