I'm a tad perplexed why you would want to use {{ref}/{{note}} cite format. Using the cite.php format will make things a lot easier for you and your fellow editors.[1] --Fallout boy 22:14, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- I commented on that here. Basically, I really like using the {{ref}} template, and I really hate this supposedly newer and better way of doing it. I don't think it makes it easier at all, and my fellow editor on that article doesn't seem to mind my preference for how I'm formatting the citations. I may not be able to keep it that way forver on that article, but as long as I'm maintaining that article, I plan to use the ref template. Thanks for your note! I see you blocked Ciarafan01 (talk) indefinitely. I am not contesting this block (heck, I added virtually all of the warnings to that page) but I'm curious as to exactly why this block was imposed. Was it by decision of the Arbitration Committee? Is it because of the images without copyright status? I'm an admin but tend to give very many warnings and multiple blocks and I'm just looking to see why you acted differently. Once again, I'm not at all implying you acted inappropriately, only that you acted differently to me and I'm not sure why. --Yamla 22:13, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- No, the Arbitration Committee is not involved. Basically, looking through this user's contributions, I see nothing but vandalism, poor edits, and innapropriate image uploads. I find it unlikely that the user will somehow magically turn into a productive member of the community. Therefore, I have banned the user. Basically, they way it works is, the user is banned (note that banning is different from blocking) unless any other Administrator chooses to reverse the ban. It's only a ban as long as it's uncontested. So far, to my knowledge, it's uncontested. If someone wishes to dispute it, they are welcome to reverse the ban, and I will discuss it with them. Does that clear up your question? Ëvilphoenix Burn! 23:57, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't notice it was you ... but yes Lucius pulls out his cane-wand, raises it up beside and above his head, points it at Harry, and says "Avada..." (yes i know I spelled it wrong in the summary - it's past my bedtime) before Dobby stops him - see DVD ch 35 at (minutes) 145:37 . --T-dot 02:28, 18 April 2006 (UTC) (ps you can feel free delete this after you see it.)[reply]

- I had to re-check myself again just to make sure I didn't imagine it - and confirmed it. I have been known to see and hear things (especially late at night when the caffeine wears down), or pick up and accept impressions from others who loudly insisted they were right, when they were wrong all along. Anyway no hard feelings ... --T-dot 02:37, 18 April 2006 (UTC) (again - delete this all at your leisure if you wish).[reply]
- No reason to have hard feelings at all. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 02:40, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, It's me Daniel5127. Thanks you for reply my questions, but I disappointed that You didn't send me message. It's very unfair from some situation. Ahh, I have something to ask you about Banned Star. Because I don't know how to give him or her Banned Star. I am really happy about someone who works really good such as Mercurio. I have wanted to give him or her(I don't know Mercurio's gender) Banned Star. I want to know how to give Mercurio banned star. Anyways, You must send me message back, and must explain me how to give another wikipedian Banned Star. Ok? Daniel5127 19 April 2006, 03:22(UTC)

- Thanks for the note, buddy. I didn't really look into what he was doing, so I didn't know what was going on. Your evidence, particularly the anon comment, explained everything. Thanks for the info. Daniel can either contribute in a positive way and be a good Wikipedian, or he can continue on his quest to get pretty little barnstars on his user page for reverting vandalism by this "mysterious anon" and get himself blocked or banned for his trouble. Looks like Evil and Death are teaming up again on this one. Cheers, Deathphoenix ʕ 03:58, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it altogether, as it's not really a technical issue so much as something to post on the Community Portal. That got added just before I published, and I didn't realize that the page had been edited. Thanks for bringing it to my attention (and for what it's worth, Signpost articles can be edited by anyone, as long as you don't add new stories after publication.) Haha, Wikibackrub. You gotta find a Wikibackrubber first! Anyway, nope, still haven't gotten them. You'll see that, down in the section User:Fbv65edel#Edit History there are a bunch of [edit]s crammed together. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 21:13, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You smart devil, you. How'd ya do it? BTW, thanks for the vandalism revert and the warning. I don't, as you may have guessed, go around regularly calling myself a loser in my Wikipedia profile. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 03:29, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- After your comment here, I have reason to think Daniel is just trying to be a hero. He will vandalize with User:71.138.167.72 and then revert it with his real account to make himself look good. Anyway, I will tag the IP with the sockpuupet userbox. The Republican 21:57, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yo, dropping F-bombs in edit summaries is not cool. Please try to keep it calm and keep it civil. Thanks. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 03:27, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

May I also add to this little discussion, the user claims to be a 16 year old American, but his use of spaces, capitalization, and verb tense/pluralization of words seems to be a little foreign to me. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 23:45, 19 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- No kidding. So how is it you want your Userpage different? Ëvilphoenix Burn! 00:01, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Dear.Evilphoenix(Wikipedia Administrator), Sorry for making this problem. I promised that I don't use another ID to vandalize it. Yesterday, I talked with Chairboy about this problem(used two ID to eraise other wikipedians page[Included You]]), and looked his suggestion. So, I realized that Wikipedia is serious encyclopedia, and very strict on editing and vandalism. So, I won't make this happen again in the future. But, I am little bit scared of you, because you are going to oberve me seriously on editing. Sometimes, I make grammer, or spelling mistake. However, I'm so sorry for spelling, grammer misrake. Have a great day with Wikipedia. OK?? ^^. OK? Daniel5127, 04:05, 21 April 2006.
- There's no need to be afraid of me. However your grammar is very poor. If you're willing to recognise that and work on it, then that's fine, but realize that your writing style at the moment is simply not up to the standard that Wikipedia generally is going for. Perhaps you might think about using a spell checking program such as Microsoft Word....type what you want to say, then run it through a spell check in Word to help make sure you're spelling things correctly. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:12, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So, do you understand what I try to say, although my grammar is very poor? Daniel5127, 04:34, 21 April 2006.

I was born in china. So, I have been in US for 2years(Since 2004 March). Chinese is my first language. Therefore, English would be my second language. Ok?^^ Have a good time with Wikipedia. Daniel5127, 03:22, 22 April 2006(UTC)
Score, indefinitely blocked. What do you mean "since you asked so nicely" in the block log? What were his kind words? --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 11:22, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi thanks for that - I was running very much overtime, real life thoroughly intruding and had to go right then, not even so much time as to explain - the formatting had gone skewiff for some reason and I thought better to revert than fail to fix. When I started the update I thought I would have had enough time to finish but ... :-( I reverted, not least of course because I wanted another editor to be allowed to make their choices if they wanted to, it was also of course the quickest solution. I do normally use preview but 10:28 was already too late and I wasn't going to have time to fiddle around - I didn't expect such a disastrous outcome. Thanks for working out the problem. --A Y Arktos\talk 20:06, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Since you've sprotected this page, wanna add a {{sprotected}} tag there, please ? --199.71.174.100 20:45, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

- Just not that big of a fan of it. I think it almost encourages vandalism when we make a big deal of having it on and then when we take it off again. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 22:46, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Evilphoenix. According to the Deletion log you deleted the article Bret Harte High School. I came across the article while doing some vandalism reverts. It was only a couple of days old and had never contained anything other than nonsense. School articles do seem to be a problem - they seem to attract vandalism and vanity edits. I thought this article probably deserved deletion, but according to the Education section of Articles for deletion/Precedents school articles are often nominated but rarely actually deleted. Acordingly, instead of nominating it, I edited out the nonsense and added some relevant detail, including categorisation. Having made the effort to turn the article into something encyclopedic, albeit only a stub, I was surprised to see it was deleted soon after. I'm not asking for the article to be undeleted but I'm wondering what the appropriate action would be in similar situations in future. -Gimboid13 01:13, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for letting me know. I suggest you bring it to Deletion Review. Thanks for your work on New Page Patrol. Best regards, Ëvilphoenix Burn! 04:34, 21 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Evilphoenix, are both Kate's and Interiot's tools entirely accurate? Because for the past two weeks they've listed my edit count at 873… when I know that I have most obviously edited tons of things in the past two weeks. My contributions count, if you go by 500s, shows I have at least 3 pages… Is there any way to find a completely accurate count? Thanks. --Fbv65edel (discuss | contribs) 19:40, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Interiot's edit counter is down right now, I don't know about Kate at all. Ëvilphoenix Burn! 01:12, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I added that because I was afraid someone'd try and jump on him and claim he was an illegit sockpuppet or something, since that whole policy seems to be highly charged, especially since the PR one is already on there... 68.39.174.238 05:09, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
