Disambiguation link notification for July 5
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Skateboarding styles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Longboard. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Selfie. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. –Davey2010Talk 13:51, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- You've gone over WP:3RR and now need to seek consensus for your changes, Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 13:52, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- I've had enough Davey2010. I am planning to leave Wikipedia for good if you keep reverting me unnecessarily. You suggested on me to expand Wikipedia, which I did with the addition of selfies. This is the reason why I did not want to come back but I was made to because of your suggestion. I've had enough. Block me I don't care anymore. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 13:53, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- I did however I didn't quite expect you to go from disrupting one topic to a whole new load of them. Expand content sure but don't replace images or reduce them when there's no need too, Honestly I never like seeing people leave but since you've been here you've done nothing but disrupt the project. –Davey2010Talk 13:59, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- Davey2010 I never disrupted the topic. You should have brought it to my attention earlier. I've never had intentions to disrupt it and I thought what I was doing by adding additional images looked ok. I never knew it was bad. In fact, I never uploaded my own. These were flickr uploads, but in the event that it is good to add and expand on images. Yes I know I went a little crazy adding my own, but I thought you wanted to have images which was good. If that's so, you should have brought it to my attention as every overhaul I have completed, I've left a talkpage message. But it does not seem to work. Look, the bus topic, I even left you a message but you did not answer. This is the classical example of a new method i am proposing but Oshwah rebutted it saying it was not worth it. My efforts seem to go a little unnoticed and I do apologise, but I do want to do my best to edit as good as possible but the addition of images like drone selfie and all the other examples were of a major bonus as this could bring up more points. I never replaced, not vandalised as this is not my character but I am getting sick of you reverting me for no apparent reason. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 14:01, 13 July 2021 (UTC)

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion
[edit]Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:EurovisionNim reported by User:Davey2010 (Result: ). Thank you. –Davey2010Talk 19:58, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Davey, many thanks. I think the only reason why they haven't taken action, is I left an apology. This was a one-off incident which would not happen again and yes, I should not have edit-warred. In fact, this is my only edit war. Hardly per say? --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 00:10, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
Davey2010. Issue resolved on ANI. No action was taken against me as I apologised. Yes, i knew now what I did wrong. Heres the link. I've also started a discussion on Talk:MAN SL202. If you say the original is fine, I will back off. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 06:57, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

[edit]When you want to quote a policy, can you please just do that. There is no need to include the "Any issues please direct it to User: Sjeintspen as this area is a policy users (including myself) are expected to abide by". Sjeintspen (talk) 10:27, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Sjeintspen. No worries, that can be done! How are you btw? --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 10:28, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
Uh oh... EurovisionNim, we need to have a talk...
You have violated your topic ban by editing the talk page of an article about an automobile. Not only did you edit the talk page of an article about an automobile, you started a discussion to replace an image about an automobile with another one. When you asked me on my user talk page about the closure of this discussion, I wasn't aware that the discussion was in relation to an image about an automobile and on a talk page of an article about an automobile, either. That was partially my fault; I should've looked at the discussion more in-depth before responding to your message asking if what you did was okay.
EurovisionNim, your topic ban is very clear. You cannot edit articles, talk pages of articles, or sections of other articles that relate to automobiles due to your topic ban. You can't participate in automobile-related discussions, or anything of that sort. You are topic-banned from automobiles, broadly construed - period. If you're not sure if your edit might violate your topic ban, it's better to assume that it will and to ask first before you do anything.
An administrator might certainly find that you've violated your topic ban and impose a temporary block for doing so. I'm not going to do that, because I hope that this message will get through to you and that you won't do this again. Please review Wikipedia's policy on topic bans and exactly what it means. It clearly states what you cannot do, and with a list of examples. Please do not violate your topic ban again. You likely won't receive another warning if you do, and an administrator will likely start imposing temporary blocks in order to enforce the ban (they usually start at 24 hours, then grow to 48 hours, and 72 hours, and so on for each subsequent time that you violate it).
Please please be careful, and please ask questions if you're not sure if you're going to violate your topic ban if you do something. I'd much rather help you before you potentially violate your topic ban than after the fact. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:57, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Yes Oshwah, that was my fault... I'm sorry, I will not do it again. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 11:59, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- Look, Nim - I've seen you around on Wikipedia a fair bit and over at Oshwah's talk page, and I gather that you've made some positive contributions here before. I've been trying to get my head around what's happened here, and wanted to check in and ask how you were doing?
- Yes Oshwah, that was my fault... I'm sorry, I will not do it again. --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 11:59, 14 July 2021 (UTC)
- I do, however, want to make something very clear here: you cannot use mental health issues as an excuse to attack other editors, nor can you expect other editors to put up with it on the basis of these issues. I'm sorry, truly. Mental health issues suck - you get two guesses as to how I know this (I am doing well now, but wanted you to know you aren't alone and that a lot of us go through similar). But part of being here means you've got to interact with the rest of the community civilly and calmly. I will also echo what Oshwah said over at his talk page - it is best to refrain from editing after consuming alcohol! As a general rule, I won't come on here after I've had any, unless it's purely for the purpose of reading an article. Take some time off, get everything in order, and if you ever feel ready to apologise and return, I for one would be glad to see you back here. Take care, Patient Zerotalk 01:24, 16 July 2021 (UTC)

[edit]And I do appreciate your demonstration of support and trust. It appears since then you've been blocked indefinitely. I'm sorry to see that. If you are willing to wait it out some months (usually six and you're already in two) and apply for a fresh start, there's always the standard offer. Feel free to make request on your talk and I'll watch for it. BusterD (talk) 18:09, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
