Welcome
[edit]Hello, Estech01 and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.
Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.
Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}}
on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.
We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished!

Mortee (talk) 22:40, 18 January 2018 (UTC)Hello Elayne!
I just realized you wrote on my talk page! Sorry for my late reply, although I know it was just part of the course exercises. Here's a cookie! Elenajs85 (talk) 03:28, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
Elenajs85 has given you a cookie! Cookies promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. You can spread the WikiLove by giving someone else a cookie, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend.
To spread the goodness of cookies, you can add {{subst:Cookie}} to someone's talk page with a friendly message, or eat this cookie on the giver's talk page with {{subst:munch}}!
- Wow, thank you Elena! Very **sweet**. Estech01 (talk) 20:56, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
Notes
[edit]Hi! I wanted to drop you a quick note. So far your draft looks good. My main thing to mention would be to use caution when making blanket statements and make sure that the source is the best possible source for this. With blanket statements it's definitely a good idea to attribute it to the source along the lines of "According to So-and-So" or "In a 2014 article in the Washington Post So-and-so stated that". This lets people know who made the claim, which is especially good when you're dealing with any topic that's even remotely controversial and as such, may have other challenging a general/blanket claim. Good work so far! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:18, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, Shalor! We will definitely keep this in mind! Estech01 (talk) 19:44, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
