- Thanks, I didn't know. Also, Why is Amazon FreeVee not linking to your "Amazon FreeVee" page? The name matches your page name. Essanay Paul (talk) 21:16, 12 October 2022 (UTC)

Amount of surviving footage from Creation?
[edit]A few years ago, you changed a line here suggesting that eleven minutes of footage from Creation (unfinished film) survives. Do you have a source for this? From my understanding only 4 minutes have survived, currently found on the 2005 DVD release of King Kong (1933 film). Harryhenry1 (talk) 08:16, 4 May 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, This is Essanay Paul from the Niles Essanay Silent Film Archive. I just rechecked our 16mm film footage of "CREATION" (1931), it is a full 200' and assuming this silent footage was going to run at sound speed I would say it is 5 minutes, including titles. Not all of the footage is stop-motion, it is integrated with live action of a boy hunting and a live action animal. I hope this answers your question. Essanay Paul (talk) 00:20, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yes that sounds correct, though using the term "boy" seems to imply the character is a child - the footage I've seen shows an adult male hunting. Harryhenry1 (talk) 07:00, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
- When I viewed the film on our viewer I thought it was a teenager hunting. Essanay Paul (talk) 09:15, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
