Your advice on 3 articles
Hello Esowteric, you remember that the article Mateus Soares de Azevedo was deleted, amended, submitted as an AfC, and finally accepted and published. At first, I did not understand the reasons for its deletion, wondering why articles like the following ones were not subject to the same treatment: Charles Upton (poet) [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Upton_(poet)], Ziauddin Sardar [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ziauddin_Sardar] and Evgeny Mechkasov [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evgeny_Nechkasov]. It now seems to me that they should follow the same process as Azevedo’s article (NPOV, secondary sources, etc.). May I have your opinion? If you agree, given the fact that you know WP much better than I do, would you accept to take the first steps? Thank you for your comments when time permits, Manamaris (talk) 15:49, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, @Manamaris, yes it looks like these articles are in need of more independent, reliable, secondary sources that cover the subject in-depth. See WP:GOLDENRULE. As ever, I have so many other things going on, though, that I haven't got the time to tackle these articles, too. Really glad you got Mateus Soares de Azevedo sorted out. Well done! - I wouldn't know where to start on Evgeny Nechkasov, due to my lack of foreign language proficiency. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 16:04, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

- @Manamaris, I think you're going to be too late to save Charles Upton (poet). The article is Articles for deletion/Charles Upton up for deletion. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 18:53, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message, but I didn't have the intention to save that article. I was just astonished that Azevedo's initial article was not accepted (which I understand), and that this one has not been contested (there are of course too many articles in WP to be able to check them all). Regards, --Manamaris (talk) 07:28, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Okay, Manamaris. Actually, it looks like an editor is collecting references together on the talk page, and efforts are being made to rescue the article. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 07:50, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

Apology
Hi Esoteric, I want to apologize for being an a-hole to you. I went and reviewed the WP policy on primary sourced content and I realized you were totally in the right to remove what I added. I will try to go dig up a source that has her birthday. DiSantis19 (talk) 15:44, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, DiSantis19. Sorry for my reaction, too. The date of birth has been a big issue for a while now. Please see WP:VERIFY and WP:BLPPRIMARY. Thanks, Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 15:47, 14 May 2023 (UTC)

Sorabji
Hello - please can you tell me why you have removed my edits? I have been doing some research and see that the one person who wrote about Sorabji's music criticism is not references and I was trying to give credit where its due. Thank you. UAAMAZ (talk) 07:32, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
