Hello Esenemagic. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Esenemagic. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Esenemagic|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 13:48, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Esenemagic, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Esenemagic|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 16:36, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

He is a politican.
and has won election into elective office.
1. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is the ruling party in Nigeria with the People democratic Party (PDP in opposition. Nigeria has 36 states. Each State has a chairperson. This position is an elective post where delegates from each of the ward and local Governments vote for the chairman. He won it in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018. He left the party in 2020 to join the Opposition. So he has held elective office.
He is currently a candidate for the Governor of Edo State, which makes him a politician.
He has also been appointed to being commissioner 3 times. These are political appointments.
The sources cited are national newspapers in Nigeria Esenemagic (talk) 01:47, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please check my latest edit.
I have cited references from Nigerian newspapers. That I can find
This is my first dab at this. So I will make mistakes no doubt, however, I am not been paid or intend to be paid or receive an gratification for this post. This is someone I admire and with their permission decided to put up a page for them Esenemagic (talk) 01:02, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please let me know how to proceed Esenemagic (talk) 01:05, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have resubmitted which contains the refernces requested. My firsr resubmission was in error. so please look at the latest one.
One again I have no pecuniary interest in this matter. Esenemagic (talk) 01:12, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You must declare an (unpaid) conflict of interest. Did you actually take the image of him as you claimed? 331dot (talk) 01:32, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As I said I have his permission.
He sent me several images of himself. I cropped this one and made it look good thenused
So there is no spoyright violations.
The ones I used from the internet, I referenced them
Thanks Esenemagic (talk) 01:36, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you did not take the images personally, you cannot claim them as your own personal work(like you did with File:Anselm Ojezua Esq.jpg) and you must immediately request their deletion from Commons. If he holds the copyright to the images he provided you(which would be unusual, though possible) the easiest thing to do would be to have him upload them himself as the copyright holder. Absent that, you need to show that the images were released with a copyright permitting their reuse for any purpose with attribution. See WP:DCP.
You must declare a conflict of interest, and soon. 331dot (talk) 01:44, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In response to above comment.
Are you being serious? If I walk into a photo studio and I have my photos taken and pay for them. They copyright belongs to me not the photographer. It is now left for me to with with my pictures as I please.
He has done a photoshoot and sent me the pictures to use. He has the copyright of his images and has given them to me. Esenemagic (talk) 01:56, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What conflict of interest are my declaring ?
YOUR RULE IS ALSO FOR PEOPLE NOT TO WRITE THEIR OWN BIOGRAPHY, SO NOW YOU WANT HIM TO UPLOAD HIMSELF?
THIS IS ALL VERY CONFUSING,
I will remove the image and have wikimedia remove it as well Esenemagic (talk) 01:59, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's not how copyright works. If you pay someone to take a photo of you, they hold the copyright unless you sign a contract assigning it to you- which is not common.
I said that it would be easier if he uploaded his images himself, not that he should write about himself.
You are declaring a conflict of interest because you are in communication with him. Articles are typically written without any involvement from, or even the knowledge of, the subject. 331dot (talk) 02:06, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
