Hi Jamie, You obviously noticed your formatting style on a little portion of my user page. Copy-editing is allowed on Wikipedia as long as the whole article is original research and unique.

Edits made to the Davido article

[edit]

Greetings Eruditescholar, you recently added Category:Oakwood University alumni and Category:Babcock University alumni to the Davido article. Do you have references to proof that Davido graduated from these schools? The current references cited in the article do not support your edit. I appreciate you adding categories to several articles, but you need to be careful how you add stuff to different articles. Everything on Wikipedia must be WP:VERIFY. versace1608 (talk) 04:00, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, you need to removed these categories from the article if you can't find sources to proof that he graduated from these schools. versace1608 (talk) 04:02, 22 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Davido's alma mater

[edit]

Hi, versace1608. Thanks for cautioning me on my recent edits. After confirming the inline citations to Davido's alma mater on his biographical article, I learnt that he actually did not graduate from Oakwood University. His graduate status from Babcock University remains unclear. However, my reasons for including Davido in the alumni categories of Oakwood and Babcock Universities were based on the fact that he was a former student who attended the institutions. An alumnus may not necessarily have graduated from an institution, but must have attended the institution for a significant period of time.

Reverting edits to the category: Nigerian gospel musicians

[edit]

Hi User:Stanleytux I noticed you recently reverted my edits to the above category . Looking at the categorized nationalities of "Category:Gospel singers by nationality", I noticed only Nigeria had two categories, which was inappropriate. Shouldn't "Category:Nigerian gospel singers" be a sub-category of "Category:Nigerian gospel musicians" ? All I did was to rearrange the category in the appropriate order. "Nigerian gospel singers" was still a sub-category of "Nigerian performers of Christian music"

I am originally an English user. Due to my French skills, I only recently commenced editing in French. I edit primarily in English.
