Template

[edit]

Hi - The only edit I made to that template was to revert an ill-considered change, and I have little expertise otherwise. Sorry I cannot help you, but perhaps one of the other editors can. Regards Motmit (talk) 20:06, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The same applies to me - I protected it to stop vandals abusing it. You could try the help desk. Hut 8.5 20:28, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Collapsible templates

[edit]

The way to make templates collapsible on the English Wikipedia is to put class="collapsible" into the table; some core JavaScript then handles all the rest. Sorry for taking so long to reply! — OwenBlacker (Talk) 10:26, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Catalan

[edit]

I hope you were able to sort out the template. You may note my contribution to Bonastre, though the photo is very old. Regards Motmit (talk) 14:10, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page

[edit]

It is interesting to read about Catalonia. Your user page says:

  • a 13,000 thousand population town

The number is wrong. I think you mean

  • a 13 thousand population town

or

  • a 13,000 population town

The english would be slightly better if you said

  • a town with a population of 13,000.

or

  • a town with a population of 13 thousand.

Zona Franca

[edit]

I believe we've discussed this before, but I found our old conversation on the issue, but I still don't understand why you switched the redirects on Zona Franca - Port and Zona Franca (Barcelona). The previous way is the Manual of Style preferred format. Is your point that it is not a part of Barcelona? The only problem with that is that Zona franca is a redirect page to the list page List of free ports. I think the right style method is to use the regional reference in parenthesis. If you think another regional name should be used, you should move it with the right region in parenthesis. For example: Zona Franca (Region). Shadowjams (talk) 04:06, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think I understand your point now. I've left your changes in place and moved the Port article from Zona Franca - Port to Zona Franca (Port). My issue all along was the naming convention, not that the two areas were the same. I hope this fix is satisfactory.Shadowjams (talk) 22:44, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can Zam (Barcelona Metro)

this and similar articles need to be referenced. Thanks! Ironholds (talk) 15:17, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Hi

[edit]

Yeah, I already know "nationality" and "nation" aren't similar terms, but Catalonia is an autonomous community considered as a nationality, not just a nationality. In fact, even if it were, those terms wouldn't make sense in English.

"Nationality" in English=/="Nacionalidad" in Spanish. Nationality: the status of belonging to a particular nation by birth or naturalization. That's why it doesn't make sense in English to say Catalonia is a nationality. Also, the two sources are wrong. The Britannica article doesn't say anything about nationality, and the Spanish Constitution doesn't even mention Catalonia. Icallbs (talk) 16:51, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds great, mon cher Icallbs.
You've just provided de rationale for switching all the 'nationality' terms in Catalonia into 'nation'.
I put myself to the task.
Vous êtes such a sweetie!
