Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to China at the 2008 Summer Olympics, did not appear to be constructive and has been removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Re: Sarah Young
The problem is that for now your article is extremely short, and we feared we would lose navigation. Since there are no longer links for the actress pointing to the musician, I guess it's ok, but for now redirecting to the band might be a better option. -- lucasbfr talk 16:19, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Hello, Fellow de-orphaner!
I noticed you added your name to the list of participants in WikiProject Orphanage. We really appreciate your help! The first things you could do to get started with us are:
- Read the Wikipedia:WikiProject Orphanage page, especially the section marked "Criteria". The page contains a lot of good advice to get you started, as well as the standard procedures we are using to de-orphan articles.
- Look at {{orphan}},{{do-attempt}}, and {{articleissues}} closely and make sure you know how to use them correctly. (It's not difficult, but it is easy to screw up. Trust me, I have.)
- Keep de-orphaning! Category:Orphaned articles contains all orphaned articles organized by month. Right now we're just trying to keep up with all the new orphans being created, so please start with the current monthly category. Once those are cleared out, we can start working on the backlog in reverse-chronological order.
- Of course, you may have already known all of this, in which case sorry for the spam. Either way, let me know if there's any way I can help you contribute more to the project!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 13:13, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
WDXE Disambig
Besides the fact that it currently doesn't link to a current page, may I ask what your reasoning is for nom'ing the WDXE disambig page for deletion? - NeutralHomer • Talk 20:45, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- OK, just created WDXE (AM) and WDXE-FM, the WDXE is now notable. - NeutralHomer • Talk 21:24, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- Not a problem...you are welcome :) Take Care and Enjoy the rest of your Sunday...NeutralHomer • Talk 21:28, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Ulteo
A tag has been placed on Ulteo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. -- Swerdnaneb 21:46, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

My edits have been returning an "internal error" Whats going on?
- Hi Erik. Things have been shaky today, especially in the past hour or so. Many others have been getting that error, too (see here and here for some discussion). I've been able to get a couple of edits in, though (others have, too), so just keep trying and the issue will hopefully be cleared up soon. Jamie☆S93 14:28, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, things appear to be working better now. As for my user/usertalk pages, the formatting is looking fine for me. Maybe we're using different browsers, so it's somehow showing up odd for you (I generally use Firefox)? Thanks for the note, :-) Jamie☆S93 15:04, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Notability of "Whoo hoo!"?
Re [1]. If the redirects i'm lovin' it and Just do it is not notable enough for encyclopedic articles despite being used on at least 4 continents, how is "Whoo hoo!" despite no reliable sources for it? -- Jeandré, 2008-09-20t16:40z
1650 AM and 1700 AM
For consistency, I would like to move these back to just 1650 AM or 1700 AM. The intention of these articles was to disambiguate radio stations at these frequencies. I do not believe the user is going to enter "List of ....". If you don't mind, I will move these back. --FMBlogger (talk) 20:43, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
- For what it's worth, I'd agree that the article should remain at just the frequency name - they were set up as disambiguation pages, and there were other similar articles already before these ones filled out the set. To that end, though, I'd suggest that the template at the bottom linking them together should be deleted - that would very much be more a feature of a set of lists, rather than disambiguation pages. You don't usually link disambiguation pages as a set. Mlaffs (talk) 21:34, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Milhist
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, writing contests, article logistics, and other tasks.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a style guide that covers article structure and content, template use, categorization, and many other issues of interest.
- If you're looking for something to work on, there are many articles that need attention, as well as a number of review alerts and copy-editing alerts.
- The project has a stress hotline available for your use.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! --ROGER DAVIES talk 18:51, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Help
Does anyone know what the template for an article undergoing a major edit is? ErikTheBikeMan (talk) 19:13, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

The template link template
I edited one of your posts here. Normally this isn't Kosher, but I figured I could drop by here and explain why I did it. The links that people provide for templates actually use two other templates. Template:! and Template:Tl. If I want to show the Hang on template on someone's talk page so they can just copy/paste the text and apply it someplace, I type {{tl|Hangon}}. That's the opening braces "{{", the letters "tl", the Pipe character "|" and then the template text then the closing braces "}}". This produces {{Hangon}}. This is probably something that you can pick up by watching others place templates in text, but I figured I'd give you a heads up. It took me a few times of writing {{[[Template:Hangon|Hangon]]}}
before I actually figured out that there was an easier way to do it. :) Seriously. Protonk (talk) 03:55, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Good article
Hi, i noticed your review of Islamic contributions to Medieval Europe, and the request for a second reviewer. I added some comments, and think that although initially impressive, it still has some problems. Feel free to disagree there with any of it, but if you do agree, a sentence confirming this would help show the submitting editor what is needed. Thanks!Yobmod (talk) 13:58, 22 September 2008 (UTC).
declined speedy as the article makes sense to me. Dlohcierekim 03:18, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

My RfA
Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which passed with a count of (154/3/2). I appreciate the community's trust in me, and I will do my best to be sure it won't regret handing me the mop. Yeah, Sure. If you have any questions please ask. Anonymous101 (talk) 14:53, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
You currently have two comments, one opposing, one neutral in the RfA which are showing up as a double !vote in Tangobot's table. The close temporal proximity makes it hard to distinguish which is your actual position, so I've not indented any of the comments, but could you take another look and indent one yourself? To do a good GA review you should:
- Always state your concerns clearly, with links to the appropriate policy pages (eg. This article has many citations, but few are reliable. See WP:RS for more information.
- You state what criteria is meets (Wikipedia:Good article criteria
- You check references carefully to ensure reliability.
- You compare it to similar articles.
I'm about to review a good article so if it helps i will give you info on what i am doing and why as i do it.
Now onto featured articles, to be honest I've never done an FA review but if you give me a day or so I will research it and come back to you with an answer.
Thanks,

Speedy deletion of Create artcile
A tag has been placed on Create artcile requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AfD nomination of Create artcile
I have nominated Create artcile, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Create artcile. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
