Dorothy Papadakos article
[edit]Hi Ericawrites1313, perhaps you remember me as the OTRS agent who handled the licensing back in May for this photo by Kendall Fuqua.
Anyway, I noticed that the draft article about her is languishing at AFC, so I thought I'd pitch in to help. Here's a major rewrite I did in my user workspace today: see this Draft.
I know you've put a lot of time and effort into drafting an article, and I certainly don't want to come across as an interloper, so it's up to you as to whether or not you'd like me to go ahead and move my rewrite to Wikipedia Mainspace. If not, and you prefer to continue working on your draft at AFC, please feel free to use my version for help. JGHowes talk 22:06, 19 August 2018 (UTC)
- Done, see Talk:Dorothy Papadakos. Also, made this "Did you know?" nomination for the Main Page (below). JGHowes talk 16:55, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
- Did you know... that Dorothy Papadakos, the first female organist at New York's Cathedral of St John the Divine, wrote a musical portraying Roman life in ancient Pompeii when it was destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius? source: "'Pompeii' & Circumstance", Wilmington (NC) Star News

DYK for Dorothy Papadakos
[edit]On 20 September 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dorothy Papadakos, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Dorothy Papadakos, the first female organist at New York's Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, wrote a musical portraying Roman life in ancient Pompeii when it was destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dorothy Papadakos. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Dorothy Papadakos), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thank you for the article! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:39, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
Just curious: where did you find the date of birth? It would need a reliable source to have it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:54, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
