VfD in general
[edit]If there's any part of Wikipedia that's extremely strained, it's WP:VFD. Dozens of articles are nominated every day, and many nominations are lost. Finding these actually one of my busywork hobbies.
I swore that Wikipedia:Deletion process or another Wikipedia namespace article specifically stated that anyone could resolve keeps, but that only admins could resolve deletes, but I can't find that now. Most policy around deletion is in perpetual flux. The procedure has significantly changed twice since I've been here (from VfD listings on the page itself, to wikipedia namespace, to VfD subpages), and proposals are constantly made to lighten the load on VfD (see Wikipedia:Preliminary Deletion/Vote2). The bottom line is: if you find pages which have demonstrably survived votes for deletion (which lasts 5 days), you are free to remove the notice. I should add that deletion requires "rough consensus", and no admins I'm aware of consider anything less than 2/3rds majority to be rough consensus.
And...I should be studying now. Cool Hand Luke 17:57, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC) (Still on wikivacation, I hope)
