Speedy deletion nomination of The People's Book Prize (UK)
[edit]Hello EricBP,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The People's Book Prize (UK) for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Celestinesucess (talk) 10:28, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Austin Davies
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Austin Davies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cabayi (talk) 10:30, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
You seem to be trying to spin as many articles out of Beryl Bainbridge as possible. In the case of her one-time husband it would appear that being married to Bainbridge is the only notable thing about him - which isn't notability at all - WP:INHERIT. If he's still alive (and you haven't even established that small detail) he'd be covered by the requirements of WP:BLP that a reliable reference be provided to back up the article. Somehow you've not received the welcome message with its helpful guide to getting started on Wikipedia - give me a second and I'll place a copy here. Cabayi (talk) 10:36, 27 August 2016 (UTC)
