This is your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss things with them. At the end of your messages you must put your signature by signing with four ~~~~ (just as I have done) or by pressing the button in the editor bar as shown here in the picture. By the way, you don't need to sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted. Another valuable page that may provide information and assistance is User:Persian Poet Gal/"How-To" Guide to Wikipedia. My name is Buster7. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information. Good Luck editing!

Nice to know you

I have known two other Australians in my life, both from Victoria. Both worked for Data General at the time, and I have only barely maintained contact with one. Thanks for your help on Wikipedia. I haven't published anything. Not really. I had ideas, but never had the drive to see them through. I prefer to fix what I see that needs fixing. Fortunately, there are pages special pages that point out things that need attention... like https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Pages_with_duplicate_reference_names
I hope that I was of help. Quebec99 (talk) 10:20, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

@Quebec99: And it's lovely to know you! I did read that article, but I guess I was hoping to find a finished article that uses the practice well.Erasmus Sydney (talk) 23:31, 17 April 2020 (UTC)

@Quebec99: Maybe you can help me. I'm trying to solve a "full duplication" problem. So, I've looked at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Pages_with_duplicate_reference_names
a few times. I've then gone back to the article I'm working on. I've found a sentence in the article which uses a source that has been used before. Then I've followed the instruction, being "the situation may be fixed by removing the body content from all but one of the ref tags, i.e. converting them to [1] format. I've then converted a reference I had to [1]

And that has messed up the reference well and good. I am a bear of very little brain. So, perhaps your brain could help me.

Erasmus Sydney (talk) 01:56, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
@Erasmus Sydney: I'm not sure which page that you are referring to. Pages_with_duplicate_reference_names is an automatically generated page. When a page has an error, it automatically gets picked up by that page. Which wiki page are you working on? Quebec99 (talk) 03:02, 19 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi @Quebec99: just wanted you to know I figured this out - thanks for connecting with me about it.Erasmus Sydney (talk) 10:56, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
Glad to help. I'm not an expert by any means... just figuring things out along the way. Quebec99 (talk) 12:53, 29 May 2020 (UTC)

Relational thinking moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Relational thinking, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 09:33, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi @Jake Brockman: Fair enough! Thank you. Erasmus Sydney (talk) 09:50, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi Erasmus Sydney. I did a bit of research into "Relational thinking" and I got the impression that this is not necessarily a clean cut philosophy by Schluter, but an array of concepts that share the same name. Interestingly, some articles about "relational thinking" don't mention Schluter at all - which struck me as odd if he's supposed to be a founder of this "discipline". We need to be careful developing this article further to ensure it maintains a neutral balance. Interestingly, the websites of organisations that Schluter is associated with use language such as "promoting relational thinking" and offer courses and franchises to "promote relational thinking". This all looks a bit yet another management training or personal growth toolkit as opposed to a philosophy in an academic sense. I have also reverted some of the additions to Schluters biograpy as they lack independent sources. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 10:10, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi again @Jake Brockman: there's definitely a bunch of people who use this, shall we say "approach" of Relational Thinking, and there are plenty of people who do so apart from Schluter. It's still mostly in the economics space. I'm fresh to the topic, but very interested. Will provide citations. 10:16, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Relational thinking

Hello, Erasmus Sydney. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Relational thinking".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Celestina007 (talk) 14:25, 18 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:26, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
