Standard COI template, just for procedure
[edit]If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Comment on writing an article

Your about page says that it's organized by "27 beneficiaries representing twelve EU-member states, including ministries of health, national competence centres and numerous companies", it was presented at the eHealth Conference 2008 [1] and your press section has a few good sources, specially [2] which cites a source that is external to the company, concretely the "European Commission director general in charge of information society and media" (some of the other sources appear to quote mostly representatives of the company or be taken from press releases, and I'm not knowledgeable enough in that field to evaluate is being published in those publications is an indication of notability).
You should start thinking in writing an article at European Patient Smart Open Services. Being, of course, extremely careful of using only WP:SECONDARY sources for the references (that's it, sourcing everything from the sources in your press section and making sure that the only link to your website consists in one link to your main page under the "External links" section, saying only "Official webpage"). And avoiding any marketing-speak like the plague, using only extremely neutral language. Making incidence in who is founding the project, and on who the organizers are. That being said, even if you write it very well the article might still be nominated for articles for deletion by someone, but I think that it has a good chance of survival given its pedigrí and sources.

- Thanks a lot for your advice. I actually do intend to write an article about epSOS using press sources, and your pointers are extremely helpful. Thank you! In the long run, I also hope to be able help out on other EU-related pages with my background, especially regarding other Research / Policy Support Projects and the general structure of EU project financing. I feel it's extremely important to clarify how these processes work, since they have enormous influence on EU policy as a whole.
- I am well aware that there's always the risk of deletion when there's a potential Conflict of Interest, but I hope that my approach (i.e. to make my involvement with the project clear and transparent) as well as the fact that it's a public project promoting the use of open standards mitigates that risk. I will be extra careful not to use marketing lingo once I take it upon myself to write the article. With regard to notability, I'm actually aware of a few extra mentions of epSOS beyond those currently in the press area, so I should be to provide lots empirical proof of the project's notability outside the project website itself.
