Unsourced additions

[edit]

Hi. I reverted this edit of yours because, as I described on the article's talk page, I can't find any sources that support this claim, and I have found some that suggest that she isn't a US citizen. If you have sources that support what you added, or other information, please join the discussion on the article's talk page. Thanks. Guettarda (talk) 00:28, 8 April 2019 (UTC) Okay, thank you! Sorry yeah you are right. I always thought she was American and I thought I saw a source, but it wasn't reliable. Thanks.[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Throast. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Trisha Paytas, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Throast {{ping}} me! (talk | contribs) 10:32, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You definitely made a mistake. I sourced the California Birth Index…which is run through the state of California and says her birth name is “Trisha Kay Paytas.” How much more authentic can you get? oof101015 (talk) 04:52, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Authenticity is not Wikipedia's standard for inclusion. There are a lot of other concerns when it comes to referencing. Birth indexes are public documents. Because they publicly display personal information without the subject's explicit consent, birth indexes are a type of primary source that must not be used on Wikipedia, see WP:BLPPRIMARY.
