and welcome from me also. Your articles on Scout Counties and Areas are a great start. Are you planning to add anything to them? Lists of districts and groups are not really enough. They need something about the history of Scouting in the area and special features like camp sites, leader training sites and so on. I have to say that few of the UK County articles are really good. They all need more work. It is difficult for me to add much from Australia but I did spend half my life in the UK. Have you see Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting?
Scout County articles
[edit]You really are being active - great stuff. Just a comment from history. Many of the articles I started were in response to the creation of articles about a specific Group. That is not a good idea and they generally finish up on "Articles for Deletion" (AfD). I've tried to save part of the Group material on the County page. That is why that stuff is there. The timing is Group stuff, then County page, not County page, then Group stuff added. I'm inclined to leave the Group stuff there until there is more of it and the whole page can be simplified. Have a look at the history before editing a page. The history of the Scouting on the Isle of Man artcile is particularly interesting. Also with new articles, could you add the Scouting WikiProject tag to the talk page? --Bduke 11:13, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
I have listed all your new County artciles on Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting and updated the section in Wikipedia:WikiProject Scouting/Todo on the UK. I see you have finished Northern Island and the Islands and Scotland is looking pretty good. Great. --Bduke 00:26, 10 June 2006 (UTC)
