Category verifiability
[edit]Please read WP:CATV. There must be verifiable information in the body of the article to support its inclusion in a category. Schazjmd (talk) 13:49, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- My bad, will include ancestry reference in future edits. Endebyrd (talk) 19:11, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, I already took care of the Rittenhouser article. Btw, since you're interested in the List of German Americans article which I'm slowly trying to clean up, any text in the list about how they're German, I'll be removing, and you're welcome to help. Their ancestry is either supported in their article or by a source in the list, so editors' commentary on that is unnecessary (and often original research). I'm also removing all mentions that they're Jewish; there's no sensible reason to be "othering" them in the list. Schazjmd (talk) 20:47, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Schazjmd. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of German Americans, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Schazjmd (talk) 19:31, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for adding sources to your edits. Please do it with all of your future edits as well, when the target article fails to support your claims. Schazjmd (talk) 21:19, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- The target articles never failed to support the claims being made, and I never changed the citation for Theodore Schultz. I only changed the Google Books link about Howard H. Aiken to a ".com" domain name. Google Books doesn't always display linked pages, but the Current link seems to be working now. Endebyrd (talk) 21:50, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
- Neither target article supports the claims, but your edit did cite sources, and I have no way to explain how I failed to see the sources in the edit. I apologize for completely misreading those two edits and reverting when I shouldn't have. Schazjmd (talk) 22:07, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Jayhawker6. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Conrad Hilton, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. jayhawker6 (talk) 17:20, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
- fixed Endebyrd (talk) 17:35, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
- The source mentioning the claim was later in the paragraph (the first source in the article [1]). I named the citation "Hilton" to use it twice, but now only the original access date is visible (December 21, 2020). Should it be revert it to the first edit I made, or should I add the same source again with today's date? Endebyrd (talk) 17:59, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 2
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited John Froelich, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page German. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
