User talk:EnWikieditor

[edit]Most of your edits range from disruptive to vandalism. Consider this your only warning. If you persist, you risk being blocked. It's possible that you simply don't know what you're doing. If that is the case, I strongly urge you to learn more about Wikipedia editing before you continue as you aren't even able to make small edits constructively. If you have questions, ask them at the WP:Teahouse.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:40, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the advice, I’ve just changed a few setting on my device as US and AU English are different. I’ll make sure to doible check my edits, I’m human and I make mistakes smartass EnWikieditor (talk) 14:49, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Words like vaporized are spelled vaporised in Australian English and that’s why I corrected it. EnWikieditor (talk) 22:05, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- Please review the Manual of Style guideline for national varieties of English. You should not be changing English varieties in articles without consensus. XtraJovial (talk • contribs) 17:07, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- I’ve come across a large number of Wikipedia pages that simply appear to be promoting non notable individuals who are using the platform as a form of résumé and for personal gain and I think those pages should be deleted as they serve no important purpose other than an ego boost for the person they’re about. I’m new here and want to donate my time and money to this organisation as it offers people free information which I support so don’t be so quick to ban me for learning the ropes EnWikieditor (talk) 22:11, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- No one was talking about "banning" you. "Learning the ropes" is one thing, but at the time Bbb23 placed that warning, your edits were simply disruptive. We do not need you to learn the ropes in this disruptive way. Removing the entire lead from an article, for instance, that's not part of any learning process I know, and you can't go around calling someone "nobody". I suppose I'm glad you didn't use that word at Talk:Robert P. George, but there also, you seem to be more interested in ranting than in actually doing something, or you'd learned to propose or nominate something for deletion--but you are talking about a lifelong scholar, with a named chair, the director of a notable research institute, and a recipient of the second-highest civilian honor in the US, so good luck. Time to start improving articles rather than complaining about living individuals. Drmies (talk) 14:38, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Drmies: I've looked at the user's contributions since my warning, and I'm inclined to block the user as WP:NOTHERE. What do you think?--Bbb23 (talk) 16:04, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Bbb23, the glass is not half-full yet, and I thought about it, but I thought I would wait to see if there would be a response to my note. Obviously the comment on the Maple talk page shows incompetence, and possibly a very personal slant. Drmies (talk) 16:08, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

I don’t have a personal slant, you’re going to have people disagree with you some things. As for removing the entire lead that was by accident. And in Australia we call people a “nobody” all the time, it’s just that we’re very direct here because unlike you guys in America we don’t have nut jobs who can blow our heads of with a gun for no reason, therefore our use of wording and attitudes are very relaxed. I do apologise if I hurt anyones feelings EnWikieditor (talk) 16:25, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Bbb23, after this comment, and this forum post, I think I'm done. Drmies (talk) 17:03, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Right, indeffed for NOTHERE and disruption.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:34, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
