AfD nomination of Father Time (album)
Country music pages
Personally, I don't think Rodney Crowell's discography is long enough for its own page (heck, I don't think that Joe Nichols neesds a separate discography page). Also, for Billy Ray Cyrus, it needs a total rewrite. Basically, it needs to flow better, and have the red links checked out. It also needs more actual info on his career (barely even mentions most of his late 1990s-early 2000s work). - Okay, I see your point. Would be okay if I attempted to rewrite Billy Ray's page? EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 20:43, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

- There's a few thing I'd like to look into more before I change anything. I don't know what to add to the Early life/Biography sections. But I will definitely research as much as I can! EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 21:03, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

James Taylor discography
Better before? Based upon what? While it's true that he only has one album certified by the Canadian Recording Industry Association, it's a noteworthy mention.Odin's Beard (talk) 16:35, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I can tell you that it looks completely organized. First, if you look at the very bottom of the style guide of the discography project, under the "ignore all rules" section, the first two sentences read: "Every artist is different, and therefore no two discographies will be exactly the same. Therefore, if there is a reasonable justification for deviating from the above guidelines to most accurately or appropriately document an artist's body of work, then ignore all the rules and go with what's best for the article." That means there is no singlular, specific format in which a discography article has to be written in, as long as the article includes important, necessary, and accurate information regarding the artist or group the article is the focus of. Second, virtually every article that qualifies as a featured discography, also listed on the discography page, is written with a very similar format to the James Taylor article. As for the listings of album certifications of different countries in different columns, I know that at least two featured list discographies list them in that format, the Carrie Underwood discography and Depeche Mode discography.Odin's Beard (talk) 22:43, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Sockpuppetry case
You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/ElboMisery1993 (4th nomination) for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Caldorwards4 (talk) 21:04, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
Roll On
I listed it at afd for you. I agree, the song hasn't charted yet ("All Summer Long" is only a few weeks into its country chart run, for crying out loud), so there's not going to be anything verifiable about "Roll On" anytime soon. Fair use rationale for Image:Joeyandrory01-x600.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Joeyandrory01-x600.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Replaceable fair use Image:Joeyandrory01-x600.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Joeyandrory01-x600.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Charts
Hi Kyle. Could you do me a favor? I was wondering if you could apply some mucic charts with album and singles information, for the article on Oslo (band). I know you're pretty good at that stuff and since I'm not, I thought maybe you could do that for me. Thanks. Caden S (talk) 23:50, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Metro Station
Kyle, some editors made a complete mess of the article on Metro Station. I don't know who but I'm pissed off. I can't figure out from the edit summary as to which editor made this big mess. From going through it I see plenty of vandalism once again. Can you please take a look at it and see if you can revert it to what it once was? The article was fine until just recently. Caden S (talk) 04:37, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I figured out where the article went wrong. It gets messy after the last edit made by User:Blah911, who's final edit was made at 19:06, 13 September 2008. After him, several editors intentionally vandalised (as the history shows) while other editors accidently removed content while trying to fix the vandalism. And, so, the page got pretty much messy and now doesn't make any sense. Some content is missing, some wikilinks are gone and a few citations have vanished, it's just a mess. I don't know how to fix it, in order to revert it back to Blah911's last version. This isn't a case of the usual revert. Caden S (talk) 05:37, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- The article could use a semi-protection. I filed one at WP:RPP, and I'll try to revert to the last "clean" version. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells • Otter chirps • HELP) 16:17, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for all your help Kyle! The article is back to normal again and it's been semi-protected, yet again. This time it's protected for two weeks. Last time, I had it semi-protected for three days. I wish the IP vandalism would stop for good, but I think that's wishful thinking on my part. It's just so frustrating. I hate vandalism by IP's. Caden S (talk) 20:54, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- Good move on your part by listing the Billy Ray Cyrus article for protection. It makes sense, since his daughter is Miley Cyrus. Just that alone, brings out those annoying vandals. On a side-note, if you want, you can watchlist my talk page. I will watchlist yours. This way it would make it easier for both you and I to respond to eachother. Thanks! Hi Kyle. Today User IP:71.207.137.146 vandalised Mandy Moore's main article five times and then vandalised her talk page once. Also User IP:76.102.234.5 vandalised the main article once today as well. All of their edits were reverted. Do you think her page should be protected? Should I look into that? You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 22:35, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Who said anything about me being in an edit war? I've changed things twice, not three or more times, thank you very much. I don't appreciate that...EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 22:41, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- I said something about being involved in it - it's a friendly notice, that's all. You reverted once, twice, three times, and haven't attempted to communicate with the other editor involved. In addition, you should be aware that edit warring is not the same as the 'three revert rule', that is, even if you make only two edits, or make three reverts every 25 hours, it's still strongly discouraged. Please try and discuss with the other user, as appropriate - what he's doing isn't blatant vandalism, it's a differing of opinions opn how wide the columns should be. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 22:47, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for not getting ignorant with me! If I knew how to tell the editor something, I would have. But I don't at the moment. :::That's why I asked User:Caldorwards4, to do so for me. EnDaLeCoMpLeX (talk) 22:51, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, it's pretty much the same for IP editors as it is for normal editors. Leave a message at User talk:190.43.147.108, but if he fails to respond, then it's quite possible he's ignoring the messages - and thus failing to communicate in the Wikipedia style - and thus, you've got a reason to have the page protected, because he's ignoring any attempt at discussion. Easy! Any more problems, let me know. Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 22:55, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Civility
Please try to remain civil and do not leave inappropriate edit summaries like this. Regardless if it is disruptive editing, this is not an approach to take. This is just a friendly reminder. Thank you. DiverseMentality(Discuss it) 01:29, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Kyle. I don't mean to intrude here but I'd like to pass on some friendly advice (from a dude who's been there when it comes to past incivil edit summaries). Don't do it. It's not worth it. You're a good editor and you've done a lot of good work on music related articles. I'd hate to see you end up like me, with a WQA, two AN/I's and a 3RR being reported against you. Living Color
My problem? You keep on reverting the format/small detail errors in the rest of the article. Why? Stop doing that. As for the discography section, my bad, I didn't realize a change was made there. Most of the huge bulk of edits that were made after my first edit where wrong, so I reverted them bar two small edits, guess I just skipped over the discography changes by accident. But that doesn't mean you revert an entire edit just to fix that. I'm going to revert your edit, but add in the discography changes you made, so we're all cool. K? Coppolas
The article contains some assertations of notability (wrote an album track for George Strait, placed in Can You Duet, signed to a notable indie label), so it might be a little out-of-place to merge it since there's just enough for a decent length article. There're probably more sources out there somewhere, but I think that they just barely meet WP:MUSIC. The article looks much cleaner now. It's probably a long way from good article status, but you've added sources and sections, and that alone is a major improvement. By the way, when you upload an album cover, please add a proper fair-use rationale. Take a look at what I did with the Jamie O'Neal albums to see how to do it. Thanks for your help. - The Canadian country albums chart was first published by RPM on August 19, 1978. They stopped publishing the chart in December 1980. Aside from three weeks in August 1984 and seven weeks in June-July 1989, it wasn't a regular chart again until April 7, 1992.

WGAR has albums by Gretchen Wilson, Pat Green, Adam Gregory, etc. listed for release in 2009. I think it's a safe bet that if a release date hasn't been officially announced yet, an album won't be released until the new year (especially in the cases of Whitney Duncan, whose single is only at #53 after four weeks, or Lee Brice, who doesn't have a single currently at radio). Thanks for uploading Image:The Life of a Song.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

I cut back the Doug Stone discography because a discography intro is only supposed to summarize the major points. See Carrie Underwood discography which is a featured list. Also, to archive your talk page, just select everything on your talk page and cut it to the clipboard. Then create a subpage at User talk:EnDaLeCoMpLeX/Archive 1 and paste everything in there.
