Hi. In response to your question at Talk:Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria, USA Inc., the problem is that we can't host content if it seems to be a copyright infringement of another source. If you are the copyright holder, or have permission to release the text to be used on Wikipedia, you need to send an email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org from an email address associated with the source website (http://akisan.org/about-us/) explicitly stating that you release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license. You should take care to read the terms of the license; it is irrevocable and allows anyone to use the text freely as long as they attribute the source. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information. – Toon 18:25, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Koman Coulibaly - FIFA 2010 Section

[edit]

I ask that you please stop blanking this section, and instead discuss it on the relevant talk page. Thank you.Dashren2001 (talk) 18:23, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the article discussion for reasons I deleted the post. Emperorubby (talk) 18:33, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have, and I have responded. In the future, please do not simply blank entire sections of an article without discussing it with others first. That is vandalism. If the information is well-sourced, it should only be deleted after a consensus is reached.Dashren2001 (talk) 18:41, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
And if there is a difference in opinion, it should be respected. I did not blank the entire section. The first paragraph which is encyclopedia-worthy is still there. If you have nothing better to add as a section content, then you might as well remove the entire section. Do more research on this guy and put credible information in his article if you really want to write about him. Emperorubby (talk) 18:47, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've also responded on the talk page. Let's discuss this there. --AW (talk) 18:48, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to Koman Coulibaly. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Jusdafax 18:50, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24h for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

It's foolish for an editor to be blocked for opposing an entry that appears to lack credibility. A discussion has been opened on the article for editors to agree on the proper phrasing of the section and I need to be able to participate in that discussion. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Declined. You were edit-warring, and the block was well-deserved. You can participate in the discussion after your block expires.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Koman Coulibaly - POV Flag

[edit]

You are wrong about the lack of worldwide outrage. Look at the articles and where there are from. There are articles from America, England, France, Germany, Zimbabwe and many more which talk about how Coulibaly made a bad call. If that is not worldwide, I am not sure what is. Further, check out this article [ http://g.sports.yahoo.com/soccer/world-cup/news/source-u-s-slovenia-ref-gets-poor-rating--fbintl_ro-referee061910.html ] which cites a FIFA source saying that Coulibaly received a poor rating.

Also, your point of him being a ref for 10 years is not very relevant because this is his first match in the world cup and by far his biggest match. Discussing his previous experience as a ref in this page would be similiar to discussing the high school career of a professional athlete. It can be mentioned, but the World cup match needs to be emphasized. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.12.134.172 (talk) 07:29, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that there has been sufficient worldwide coverage of this event. Slovenia appears to be the only country agreeing with the decision of Mr. Coulibaly. No other call in the 2010 World Cup has received the level of attention that Mr. Coulibaly's call has received. The entry is fine and in my opinion could be further elaborated to contain more information about the mistake. Dfourni (talk) 07:41, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
