Copyright
[edit]Permissions to use copyrighted material is generally explained at Wikipedia:Copyrights and more specifically in your case at Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, and also Wikipedia:Donating_copyrighted_materials#Granting_us_permission_to_copy_material_already_on_line. I hope this helps. Because of the anonymity here we cannot assume that someone claiming to be the owner of something is indeed the owner of it. If you follow these guidelines, the copyright problem should be resolved. Also, you may want to review WP:N, WP:CORP, WP:RS, WP:NPOV, WP:SPAM and WP:COI to determine whether the company is notable, covered significantly by 3rd party reliable sources, written from a neutral point of view, is not advertising, and special concerns for people with a possible conflict of interest. Re: Granting Wikipedia permission
[edit]Your intention is appreciated, but unfortunately, Wikipedia articles should not contain content that is directly copied and pasted from another source. Information, written specifically for Wikipedia, can be cited to another source, but copied text should not be used even if permission is given. Let me know if there's something else I can help you with. Leebo T/C 19:18, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
- The article also read like spam, and could have been deleted for that reason. It reads like you have a conflict of interest, as it sounds like you're affiliated with Body1. It might help if you review some of the policies and guidelines, specifically the neutral point of view policy. It's strongly discouraged to write about things to which you are too close, like your company. Leebo T/C 22:48, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

I would like to grant Wikipedia permission to use information about or from the Body1 Network, at www.body1.com and www.body1.net. What else must i do to grant permission and address the copyright issue?
Thanks, Erin Moore Emoore5186 15:25, 11 October 2007 (UTC) Editorial Associate, Body1 emoore@body1.com
A tag has been placed on Body1, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD G11.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk to me) 14:42, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Re: Still confused
[edit]It was not deleted this time for copyright infringement. Read the deletion log and the speedy deletion message. It was deleted as advertising, because you are an employee of the company promoting Body1. I told you yesterday that this is strongly discouraged due to the conflict of interest. I reviewed the article, and it was not neutral and was not written as an encyclopedia article. Leebo T/C 15:32, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
