Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ursula Sladek, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages German and European. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Umar Lawal moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Umar Lawal. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ratnahastin (talk) 11:16, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's October 2024 edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hello Emmanuella643:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

Sonibare moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Sonibare. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and single presented source does not appear to meet WP:RS. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hitro talk 14:00, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

[edit]

Please familiarize yourself with how Wikipedia categories work.

Firstly, we do not duplicate-categorize pages in categories that are parents of other categories that the same page is already in. If a page is already in Category:Yoruba names, then do not also file it in Category:Nigerian names at the same time — because Category:Yoruba names is already a subcategory of Category:Nigerian names, a page is already in the Nigerian category by virtue of being in the Yoruba category, so it does not need to be directly filed in the parent category at the same time as being in the child category.

Secondly, articles also must not be filed in any category that has the words "by language" in it. Those are container categories to help people "Specific-language name" subcategories, and are not meant to be used on any individual article.

I've had to clean this stuff up over and over again several times in the past several weeks. So please categorize the articles correctly, because you're making a lot of unnecessary work for other people to fix. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 17:07, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duly noted, Your feedback is helpful, and I’ll be mindful to categorize articles correctly to avoid creating unnecessary work for other people to fix. Thanks. Emmanuella643 (talk) 17:59, 8 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
