Categories

[edit]

I noticed that when you removed the {{uncategorized}} tag from the article you added wikilinks from the article to the categories, but you didn't actually put the article into the categories (because you started each link with the colon character). This technique of linking rather than categorizing is used for drafts, and for user page drafts, because the categories are intended for real articles. But in your case it is a real article, so the colons aren't needed and the article should be in the relevant categories. I have removed the colons for you, and the article is now therefore in the categories. --David Biddulph (talk) 03:19, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Access dates in references

[edit]

I see that you've done a great job of adding a good number of references to the article, but it looks as if you may be confused about the "|accessdate" parameter in your citations. The accessdate for a reference with a web url is the date when you actually looked at the web page and confirmed that it contained the information which you are using to verify the statement in the article (so it is usually the date that you add the reference to the article). It is usually displayed in the reference list as "Retrieved ...", and is there to help if the content at the url subsequently changes or disappears, and to help if someone is therefore searching for an archive version from a relevant date. By contrast the "|date" parameter is the one to use for the publication date if one is given (most often in news reports, but sometimes on other web pages). My guess is that in your article the references with an accessdate this month are likely to be correct, but the ones with accessdates in earlier years are probably using "|accessdate" where "|date" would be appropriate. A minor point, and one that probably isn't very clearly explained in the help pages. Keep up the good work! --David Biddulph (talk) 03:42, 22 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Beyond the Page Theatre Company of West Potomac

[edit]

Hello Emma.norville,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Beyond the Page Theatre Company of West Potomac for deletion, because it seems to be an article that was previously deleted by a consensus decision.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Deunanknute (talk) 20:05, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Do not recreate pages that have been deleted per a deletion discussion. Doing so again will lead to a block. Jackmcbarn (talk) 00:55, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
