Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Emilyoday, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

  • You can find answers to many student questions on our Q&A site, ask.wikiedu.org

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:36, 19 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Emily! I think you weren't signed in when you did the trainings!

[edit]

Dear Emily,

I see that you have finished 0/6 trainings so far.

When you go into Wikipedia next time, click on the button that says "View Full Timeline." This will let you see the entire series of Wikipedia trainings. Then go back to the first one and pick up the ones you are missing. If you did those trainings, but it is not showing up that way--it may be that you weren't signed in when you did them. Please do them again while you are signed in.

Also, I see that you have not made any edits, and you should try to get your hands dirty a little.

Please use the "Citation Hunt" tool to find a Wikipedia Article that is lacking a citation, then go find one and change the article with the new citation. I just did it, and it wasn't that hard (I promise!) We will be playing with Wikipedia this week, so try to get ahead of the game!

If you reply to me on this talk page before Feb 1, I will give you 5 bonus points on the Wikipedia project.

Sincerely, Mkassorla (talk) 17:51, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Peer View

[edit]

Dear Emily,

Overall, you were fantastic on the writing. Great information on your section. I didn't find any reason into which I had to critique what you have. Seems all good to me.
