Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Emilyngu3, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Talk page communication

[edit]

@Emilyngu3: Hi Emily -- I saw your message to Kfolz, but there was an issue -- your signature didn't show up, just ~~~~. The idea is that if you type just plain ~~~~ at the end of your message, Wikipedia will magically substitute in your name and a link to your page -- it's definitely an unusual feature of Wikipedia but worth getting right because it's how folks around here talk to each other. Give it another try. You'll know it worked if instead of ~~~~ after you save the page, it has your name at the end. Like this: Kaylea Champion (talk) 02:00, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
