Editor review

[edit]

Hi there! I've noticed that you've recently filed a request for an editor review, but unfortunately it looks more like a request for feedback on an article you have created. To receive feedback, please see Wikipedia:Requests_for_feedback or submit the article to articles for creation. If you need help, feel free to user {{helpme}} on this page or message me on my talk page. Netalarmtalk 02:46, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption request

[edit]

Hello there, Emb777! I'm Netalarm and I have been around for quite some time now. I'm messaging you because I've noticed that you've indicated that you want to be adopted on your user page. To get started, you can also find an adopter yourself. A complete list of adopters list available here. When choosing an adopter, please check their availability. You may also want to find an adopter that has similar interests, although it is not required you do so. Once you have found an adopter, you can message them on their talk page and ask to be adopted. If you have any questions about this process, feel free to message me on my talk page.

Once again, welcome to Wikipedia! Netalarmtalk 04:39, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Adoption

[edit]

Hello Emb777,

You previously expressed interest in being adopted; however, you have not provided correspondence to messages sent by the adoption program's members. The Adoption program's adopters cater to the needs of adoptees, but cannot chase after potential adoptee's whose activity may be limited, due to the limited amount of adopters we have. Adoption is for those that want to stay, it is unfair for the adopters to have to teach to a user who will pack up their bags and leave after adoption or doing whatever it is they wanted to do.

Please understand our concern, but remember that if you do want to stay, you're more than welcome to join in the adoption program! Simply respond to this message indicating that you are active and I or another Adopter will get back to you shortly.

This is incorrect. I only received one response and that I responded to with a message on her talk page for further assistance as I tweak a page I am working on. Perhaps I responded wrong? I have to admit Wikipedia's communication system is very confusing to me! Maybe I'm missing other people trying to reach me?

I believe you're referring to your response to VictorianMutant? Fridae'sDoom meant the message from me above, about you actively looking for an adopter too. Adoption is for users that intend to stay and contribute to Wikipedia, not for users that need help with a single issue. From your contributions, user page, and editor review request, it appears that you are more interested in submitting a single article. If you need help with that, simply use the {{helpme}} template. Of course, if you intend on staying on Wikipedia and contributing, just let us know and we can replace the template, but please also try to find your own adopter too. Thanks.
