Information icon Hello, Em1245. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Hult Ashridge, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. Information icon Hello, I'm Dormskirk. I noticed that you recently removed content from Hult Ashridge without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Dormskirk (talk) 11:54, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dormskirk,
Thanks for your help, this is the first time I am editing a page sorry for that. The reason I removed content is because the information is catered for elsewhere on Hult International Business School. I am able to make smaller edits in the sandbox if this is preferable. Em1245 (talk) 13:22, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also - I don't seem to be able to update the logo. Could you clarify how I should do this? I tried logging into the 'commons' to upload the file but was not able to do so. Thanks Em1245 (talk) 13:26, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you are adding material contributed by employee of Hult Ashridge, then you have a conlict of interest, as explained above, and should be proposing changes on the talk page. Please do not delete the history: this article is about the college at Ashridge and this is the place to provide that history, not elsewhere. Dormskirk (talk) 13:31, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
PS. You won't be able to post the updated logo to the commons as it is copyrighted and the commons is not for copyrighted material. But, please stop deleting the history! Dormskirk (talk) 13:41, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Hult Ashridge, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Hi, this is a little extreme. The content has completely reverted to the original, which I understand, thank you for explaining.
My last edit was therefore to also revert the 'president' to the original. So that I could then take the listing and make smaller adjustments in the sandbox, as advised.
The listing now has all the original content, aside from the 'president' - which I edited in order to revert it to the original - as asked. The president of this page with its original content is not Adam Portlock, I was trying to replace it with Stephen Hodges in order for the entire page to be restored to the original.
Please could you clarify?
Thanks Em1245 (talk) 15:50, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - As explained above, you need to comply with our conflict of interest processes first. In the meantime, please stop posting anything to this article. By the way, who is the actual head of Hult Ashridge? Is it Portlock or is it Hodges and, whichever it is, do you have a reliable published sourced for that information? Dormskirk (talk) 16:00, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, understood -
However, please could you revert the details of the president to the original ? As you have with the rest of it? Hult Ashridge is a campus, a business school and an executive education company. There are different presidents across the 3 entities. Hodges would be the best pick of the original listing to represent all entities. Leaving it as it is makes the listing now incorrect if you are accepting some edits but not all of them. I'm not sure why you have reverted 90% of the listing to the original - but not that information.
So my request is that you reverse ALL edits to the original. And I will take my proposals into the sandbox to make edits that comply with the policy to resolve this. And explain all proposed edits in much more detail.
Thanks Em1245 (talk) 10:42, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. I have now restored the name to Stephen Hodges. Dormskirk (talk) 10:49, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I will now make a proposal for smaller edits in the sandbox - so that we can preserve the history of the listing but with smaller proposals to edit. Is that ok?
Thanks Em1245 (talk) 16:33, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's fine. The proposals should add to what's there at present i.e. not involve deletion of existing properly sourced material. New material should be supported by reliable independent published sources. Best wishes. Dormskirk (talk) 16:43, 13 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
