I am looking for some help in how to go about getting a page rolled back to an earlier version. The page has recently undergone a major rewrite, which has discarded a large amount of important info. I have tried to speak to the editor on the article's talk page to no avail as yet. I haven't reverted the page myself as I don't know if that would be considered acceptable or not, and I expect he/she would likely undo my reversion anyway. Good morning. I assume you're talking about this discussion. I also have had the experience of finding that a page I have found to be a useful resource in the past has been changed or deleted, and I know this can be very frustrating. On the other hand, I see that the editor who made the changes has already provided a very detailed explanation of why they made them, and it is largely about their inability to find reliable sources for the information. The Wikipedia community takes sourcing very seriously. Further, everyone here is a volunteer, and it can take a little while for people to respond to queries; I see that the other editor responded to your complaint a few minutes ago. If you want to see this information restored to the article, I would suggest that your best approach would be to find reliable sources for it. You may be able to get some more specific assistance from WikiProject Video games. Finally, it seems clear to me that the editor who made these changes was not engaged in vandalism and it is inappropriate to level that sort of accusation willy-nilly. It does not encourage other editors to take your points seriously. Cheers, Bovlb (talk) 15:29, 16 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
