Hello ElliotRosewater,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, Grinder's Switch featuring Garland Jeffreys, may be copied from http://wildinthestreets.info/discography/41-grinders-switch-with-garland-jeffreys-1970.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.
Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 01:21, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Garland Jeffreys and Grinder's Switch, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://wildinthestreets.info/discography/41-grinders-switch-with-garland-jeffreys-1970.html.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. 1970 album(s) again
[edit]I notice that you created two articles, Grinder's Switch featuring Garland Jeffreys and Garland Jeffreys and Grinder's Switch. They seem to have the same songs and personnel. Is this actually the same album? --Closeapple (talk) 08:05, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
yes. good catch. the second one should be deleted.--ElliotRosewater (talk) 04:17, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
- I did a little research also, and found album covers with each name. I finally came across http://www.discogs.com/Grinders-Switch-Featuring-Garland-Jeffreys-Grinders-Switch/release/2515314 — It appears that the album was originally released in 1970 on vinyl by Vanguard with the title Grinder's Switch featuring Garland Jeffreys (VSD 6550) in the USA and just Grinder's Switch (VSD 23050) in France; and then later on CD with the title Garland Jeffreys and Grinder's Switch (Vanguard/Fnac 662090 in France in 1992, VMD 6550/barcode 015707655026 in the USA). Thanks for the help! --Closeapple (talk) 08:07, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
