Elkoholic (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Insert your reason to be unblocked here I'm not sure why my account, Elkoholic, was blocked. I live in Benbrook, TX and am hooked up to Internet Explorer via an ATT router in my home. When I travel on business to my company's, M2 Technologies, Inc., offices located in Kansas, Virginia and Kentucky, I either hook up to my company's, M2, server at the respective location or use my verizon wireless card if the M2 server is down. As a new joinee and novice to the Wikipedia system, could somebody please tell me what's going on?
Decline reason:
You have been blocked by an admin with checkuser authority, as bering the same person as Harmonia1. you will need to contact the blocking admin by e-mail to present your case. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 10:17, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Note that the blocking admin is a clerk for WP:SPI and not a CheckUser-capable admin himself. —DoRD (talk) 14:04, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
The problem is that User:Harmonia1 is either using more than one account, or asking her friends to edit on her behalf, and it's causing some disruption. Are you the same person as User:Harmonia1, or did she ask you to join Wikipedia to help her with her desired edits? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 23:48, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
I am not the same user as Harmoial. I have a strong personal interest in NLW and in ensuring that accurate NLW information is disseminated. I've completed the Penn State Non-Lethal Weapons on Line Certificate Course, participated in Non-Lethal Weapons Live Fire Training, participated in U.S. Joint and Combined Exercises throughout the world as a NLW Subject Matter Expert and have conducted many NLW Briefs in the U.S. and in at least five foreign countries. I am very familiar with the Department of Defense Directive 3000.3, Policy for Non-Lethal Weapons, the U.S. Army Field Manual FM 3-22.40 NLW Tactical Employment of Nonlethal Weapons, which is a Joint Service Publication and has been accepted by the U.S. Air Force, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy, and also the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate's (JNLWD's) NLW Reference Book. As a new Wikipedia joinee, the biggest problem I have with editing a Wikipedia article is the complexity of the Wikipedia system. It's extremely difficult to learn, I've been stumbling within the Wikipedia system for about four weeks now, and I'm not sure that this response will even be sent correctly!
- What is your relationship with Harmonia1? We don't really care what your credentials are, at this moment. --jpgordon::==( o ) 02:31, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
I work with Harmonial, but, I don't do any of her editing. You may not care about my credentials, but my credentials allow me to do my own professional editing.Elkoholic (talk) 03:20, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
- (Stop putting your comments between equal signs -- those are for section headings.) Well, you, Harmonia1, and all the other accounts that have edited the same material in essentially the same way from the same IPs are editing as a group in a way we consider unacceptable. Please see WP:SHARE to see our policy on this. As far as your credentials are concerned, anyone can do exactly the same editing, given Wikipedia's strong requirements for reliable sourcing and verifiability; you and I could put exactly the same material in, and if was properly sourced it would stay, and if were not, it would be removed -- regardless of our personal expertise. --jpgordon::==( o ) 03:24, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
