Marking edits as minor

[edit]

Thanks for your recent contribution to the article Nate Wilbourne.

As a new editor, you probably are not aware of the criteria for marking edits as "Minor". There is useful guidance about this here: Help:Minor edit. Please have a look at this guidance. Thanks again for contributing to Wikipedia. If you have queries or want any assistance, in addition to the Teahouse link given above, you are welcome to contact me on my talk page: User_talk:Marshelec.

Dates of birth in biographies of living people

[edit]

Hi, if you have the article Nate Wilbourne on your watch list, you will see that I have reverted the edits of an IP editor who had inserted an exact date of birth. I noted that you had previously added and then removed a DoB citation. The Wikipedia policy is set out in WP:BLPPRIVACY. The exact dates of birth of living people are not published in Wikipedia unless they are already widely published in other sources. I don't think this is the case with Nate Wilbourne, so the (born 2007/2008) needs to remain, even though it may look a little clumsy.

One useful point to come from this is that your edits directed me to the Seed Pod Episode 13 Podcast, and I have now added this to the External links in the article. It was well worth listening toz, and a useful addition to the article.

You are welcome to contact me if you want, for any assistance with articles - just post a message on my talk page. Marshelec (talk) 06:09, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
