A tag has been placed on Evangelist Shyju Mathew, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 06:38, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Evangelist Shyju Mathew requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 06:41, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Evangelist Shyju Mathew. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ttonyb (talk) 06:54, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Need help?`

[edit]

Hello, I noticed you put a {{helpme}} on the talk page of the article you created. {{helpme}} is used to draw attention from helpers like me to answer your question. Did you have a question? I see that your article is up for deletion. To prevent that, you have to put a reason on the talk page why it should be kept. The problem with your article at the moment is that it is not written in your own words. Wikipedia cannot accept content directly copied from other places, because it is illegal. If you need any further help, do feel free to leave me a message via my talk page or email. Cheers, sonia 07:27, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Shyju Canada.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 12:03, 25 October 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:03, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Shyju Tiny.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:04, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Shyju Mathew has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Reads like an advert with lots of praises. "widely regarded as a prophet of the revival age". No secondary sources available and all the sources cited are self sources and blogs. Fails WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nayvik (talk) 10:02, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The title of the article was changed to Shyju Mathew by User:Sonia. I think this was done per MOS:HONORIFIC which says honorific titles are not allowed in article titles. The article should follow the standards mentioned in WP:BLP and one of the main criteria is that reliable sources should be cited to establish notability of living persons. I am not sure about charismamag.com but the other sources you have cited are definitely not reliable sources. In the absense of reliable sources, the article can be deleted. If you have any question related to sources, you can ask for help at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard. All the best! --Nayvik (talk) 12:20, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I doubt if the links you added can be considered as reliable sources. In order to satisfy wikipedia's notability guidelines you need to add references to indepth coverage in newspapers, TV, magazines etc. --Nayvik (talk) 15:58, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Other stuff exists is not a valid reason for circumventing wikipedia policies. If M A Varughese article is not according to WP:BLP, then that article also has to be changed/deleted. I suggest you look for any coverage in newspapers or magazines and add to the article. Otherwise someother editor may end up tagging the article again for deletion. Also, please remember to sign using 4 tildes (~~~~) when you leave a message in talk pages. --Nayvik (talk) 07:39, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
