Hi

[edit]

I saw your post on FAAFA's Andy Stephenson page. Just an FYI, that user was just banned from Wikipedia for one year just last week, so he won't be replying for a while. Another FYI, the Andy Stephenson article was deleted last fall in a rather contentious AfD proceeding. You can read the archive here. If you really want to write a new article, I would suggest reading WP:BIO, WP:ATT, and WP:NPOV through first, and make sure you understand the guidelines and policies. Technically, the recreation of a previously deleted article can be what is called "speedy deleted". But if the article is well sourced, neutral, and follows all the guidelines, it is more likely to survive. - Crockspot 21:19, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oh, one other thing. You might want to go introduce yourself to User:BenBurch on his talk page. He could probably offer you help and advice. He was a friend of Andy's. There is also a possibility that Andy's illness was featured in the upcoming Michael Moore film Sicko. If it is (we'll know soon) I would think that would make it a lot easier to get an article back in. - Crockspot 21:40, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
