In this edit you added a translation of a Ghazal.... can you cite where that translation came from? Thank you. gren グレン 02:23, 19 June 2006 (UTC) {{helpme}} I did not know how to respond to your comment above and hence added a help me tag. This translation is based on my understanding of Ghalib's poetry. The translations provided on the page are literal ones and do not capture the subtlities of ghalib's poetry.
- I appreciate your intentions in translating the works. Unfortunately, it's a form of original research. The other translations on the page are cited to sources, and thus are verifiable; translations that you perform yourself, that have not been independently published, are not appropriate for inclusion. I'm sorry about this, I really am, but it is a core policy of Wikipedia that readers should be able to 'check the facts'. I'm not 100% convinced if the translation on www.columbia.edu is a reliable source either, but that's not the point regarding your question. I think that Grenavitar is concerned that you've added unreferenced information to the article, and as you've said it is "based on your own understanding", I'm afraid that's true - hence, like any other unreferenced information, it can be challenged and removed by any other editor.
- Please only add information with a reference to an appropriate reliable source.
- I hope you understand, and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to use another {{helpme}}.

[edit]Hello, I'm Kautilya3. I noticed that you recently removed content from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
