Jeita Grotto

Hello, Elie

I've been having a look at your Jeita Grotto article - excellent.

However, it isn't clear whether the Upper Series and Lower Series are connected, which is an important pointy from the speleological point of view. Langcliffe (talk) 08:17, 25 September 2008 (UTC).

Thank you!

Problems with upload of File:EcoleSuperieuredesAffaires.png

Thanks for uploading File:EcoleSuperieuredesAffaires.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Orphaned non-free media (File:EcoleSuperieuredesAffaires.gif)

Thanks for uploading File:EcoleSuperieuredesAffaires.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Mistleltoe in Lebanon.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 22:23, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the comments... and join us to help pull together Wikipedia Days in Beirut

Hi Elie-
Thanks for the constructive comment regarding the WikiProject Lebanon page... think we got it corrected now.

Also, we would love your help/involvement (and other Wikipedia/WikiMedia contributors in Lebanon) to work with us to build up Wikipedia Days in Beirut/Lebanon. We have other ideas for where this could go, but want to see what other folks want to do with this... monthly events? contests? a conference? etc etc etc?

We're open to ideas.

File source problem with File:Elie Mitri.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Elie Mitri.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 18:01, 28 April 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Martin H. (talk) 18:01, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

In case you are not the author or holder of all copyrights on this images and therfore not eligible to release it into the public domain so that everyone can use it for every purpose including commercial use, you may replace it with File:Elie Mitri, Cines del Sur 2007.jpg i recently uploaded to Wikimedia Commons. --Martin H. Request to participate in University of Washington survey on tool to quickly understand Wikipedians’ reputations

Hello. I'm part of a research group at the University of Washington. In April, we met with some local Wikipedians to learn what they would like to know about other editors’ history and activities (within Wikipedia) when interacting with them on talk pages. The goal of those sessions was to gather feedback to help design an embedded application that could quickly communicate useful information about other Wikipedians. We have now created a few images that we feel represent some of what our participants thought was important. We would appreciate it if you took a few minutes of your time to complete an online survey that investigates whether or not these images would be useful to you. Your quick contribution would be very valuable to our research group and ultimately to Wikipedia. (When finished, the code for this application will be given over to the Wikipedia community to use and/or adjust as they see fit.)

Willing to spend a few minutes taking our survey? Click this link.

Please feel free to share the link with other Wikipedians. The more feedback, the better! The survey is completely anonymous and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. All data is used for university research purposes only.

Thank you for your time! If you have any questions about our research or research group, please visit our user page. Commprac01 (talk) 00:57, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

My "little editing" about the 2006 Israeli/Hezbollah War was well intentioned. Seeing the recent damage done after the Israeli bombardments I was shocked.

Having seen how much damage the Israeli bombarments which they call "selective surgical or target strikes" in South Beirut, which I saw coming from and to the airport in early 2007, I thought the harm especially in South Beirut was downplayed in the article. Though I saw Gaza on televison the very same Israeli "selective surgical or target strikes" caused widespread damage there with a lot of innocent deaths. (As a staunch secularist, I am no friend of Hezbollah (or Hamas for that matter), and as you will surely as a Lebanese will agree, I hate fundamentalism and secteranism an every form, religion should be separated from politics and politics from religion. It caused your beautiful country and city so much harm, and as I saw is still divided psychologically and physiacally into secterian sections. Religion is a private matter concerning the individual, and it should not be abused for political means.) I went there for the (still) first time for academic purposes for a week (from Turkey), with a little sightseeing in central Beirut and ventured as far as to the edge of South Beirut (aka Hezbollahland) which was nerveracking.

I hope your country can be rid of the religious divisions and become truly peaceful, tranquil and "normal". I wish all the best and good luck.

Thanks!

Thanks for the encouragement! I really appreciate it. Mnation2 (talk) 03:31, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

DLM

I'm not really sure how the media files and copyright work, so I'll need your help with that. In the meantime, I'll try to do some copy editing. Thanks for your help! Mnation2 (talk) 16:34, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey, That PDF isn't the DLM's manifesto, but it is written by important figures in the party, so it could still be significant for the article.

The draft document/manifesto of the party is here: http://alyassar.org/ar/content/view/10/5/ Unfortunately, I can't read arabic, so it's pretty much useless to me. There should be some interesting stuff there. The closest thing I could find to an organizational chart is the party's "rules of procedure", which is here: http://alyassar.org/ar/content/view/11/5/

If you could read through those, they should be pretty helpful. Do tell me what you find! Thanks, Mnation2 (talk) 22:16, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

I did some reviewing/editing. You repeatedly referred to the DLM as the DML - watch out for that. As always, thanks for your help. Mnation2 (talk) 02:26, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey, have you looked at the alyassar documents yet? Also, does it usually take this long for a GA nomination to get reviewed? At this rate, it won't be done 'till September. =/ Mnation2 (talk) 02:57, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Edit War?

Honestly I do not understand why there would even be an edit war over something that is true. Do you know how I can make them stop undoing my edits, I have spent a lot of time looking for reliable sources and I have used them! Bas mabedun I even used their own newspapers as a source and they still deleted my edit. Who can I go to, to help me? Because my sources are beyond reliable. I do not think ever said George Wassouf is Lebanese origin. Youssef Chahine and Omar Sharif are both Lebanese by origin and I think they should acknowledge this on wiki since almost every website on the internet does. Hey again! I've made some initial edits to the article and will do a lot more tomorrow.Mnation2 (talk) 04:18, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Personally, I like the history section as it is for the most part. As long as there is enough of the other content to balance it out, I think we can leave it as is.

The article is looking really nice by the way . . . Do you want to nominate it for GA status? Mnation2 (talk) 23:11, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Guardian of Time age

Hi, a picture I took of "The Guardian of Time" statue, which is in the Jeita Grotto article, has been put up for deletion here[1]. The image could be saved if the creator of the statue died more than 50 years ago, do you know anything about it? FunkMonk (talk) 14:50, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Hahah, seems like telepathy, we both notified each other at exactly the same time. But yeah, unless the creator died more than 50 years ago, I don't think I can save it... FunkMonk (talk) 14:53, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
I sent you the image! FunkMonk (talk) 15:14, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi, i'm elias, nominator of Jeita Grotto, your nomination of the above mentioned picture is not justified, refer to [2] namely [3] article 31. Oh and this is vexing, I have said it a thousand times, the appellation THE LEBANON is diminutive and is considered an insult by Lebanese people, it's LEBANON _you know for future use_ thank you Eli+ 15:40, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Actually, it is indeed justified. The law gives an exception to the media; Wikimedia Commons is not the media, and even if it were, this would still prevent the image from being free for all uses, which is required for Commons. Stifle (talk) 15:49, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
I quote from article 25 "It shall also be permitted, without the authorization of the author and without obligation to pay him compensation, to use a limited part of any legally published work for purposes of criticism, argumentation or citation or for an educational purpose, provided that the part used does not exceed what is necessary and

customary. However, the name of the author and the source shall always be indicated, if the name of the author is included in the work." So i guess you are right, all we have to do is crop the image and change the tag Eli+ 16:00, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Actually, we still can't use it as Wikimedia Commons does not accept images that are only valid for educational use. Stifle (talk) 17:55, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
  • I think the article can still be featured without those images, this is a special case since it is prohibited to take pictures inside the cave. But the caves were discovered in the 1800s, so I'm sure there must be some public domain photographs or other illustrations of it somewhere. Maybe ask for some on the website of the grotto, maybe they're even willing to donate one or two images and put it under a Commons compatible license, Wikipedia articles are good publicity. http://www.jeitagrotto.com/ FunkMonk (talk) 18:10, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

I noticed that you are nominating Jeita Grotto for featured article status. The prose needs significant work, and the FAC reviewers will make that point known . . . very effectively. I've fixed up most of the lead and will do some more tomorrow.

Hopefully, with the reviewers preoccupied by sources and pictures and alternate text (whatever that is), I'll be able to attend to the whole article before then. Cheers, Mnation2 (talk) 01:48, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

Salut Elie! Thank you for keeping an eye on the Lebanese Forces article and reverting vandalism. Please also take a look at the Kataeb article. I've now deleted the template, but it seems that {{Infobox Historic Site}} is not quite a replacement for it, as its parameters are named differently. Your template was included in 3 pages, and in those pages the infobox is now broken:
You're going to have to go through those and change the parameter names so they match the ones in Template:Infobox Historic Site. Please do it quickly, as currently it's having negative effects on the articles (causing information to be hidden). If it's not fixed quickly I'll have to undelete the template until this can be fixed. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 20:35, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Hello

Hi Elias! Yes, I've noticed that rule thingy early on. It's all about numbers in this place. Thanks for taking a look at that Phalanges article. I think we could form a strong front together to keep Wiki unbiased. If you have some time, please also take a look at Arab Christians. To my knowledge, Maronites (the overwhleming majority of Lebanese Christians) are not Arabs and do not consider themselves Arabs, as opposed to the Greek Orthodox who may sometime identify as Arabs (on a geopolitical or linguistic basis of course, since they are not ethnic Arabs). The article is suggesting that all Lebanese Christians are Arabs, based on the number added to the infobox by the user Izzedine. Please take a look at it when you have time and let me know what you think. Thanks :) ----Ⲗⲁⲛⲧⲉⲣⲛⲓⲝ [talk] 17:50, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply Eli. I also responded in the article. I will let you handle the Lebanon issue on the article since you have more knowledge about it. As for Egypt, I will stand firmly by an ethnic definition of Arabism. Thanks again man :) ----Ⲗⲁⲛⲧⲉⲣⲛⲓⲝ [talk] 19:47, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
Hello again :) Maybe we could call the article Arabic speaking Christians or "Christians speaking Arabic language instead of Arab speaking Christians, since Arab does not usually refer to the language? What do you think? ----Ⲗⲁⲛⲧⲉⲣⲛⲓⲝ [talk] 20:13, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
Eli, I just read your reply to Tiamut on the Arab Christians page. I am sorry you feel like you got dragged into this, and I feel responsible for this. I understand your frustration after all the effort you've put into changing the article. I hope you could stay and figure out a solution to that mess. But I totally understand if you choose not to. I apologize once again. Je te souhaite une belle fin de semaine. --Ⲗⲁⲛⲧⲉⲣⲛⲓⲝ[talk] 00:23, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I'm sorry if I put you off editing. I added your edits to Arabic speaking Christians to Christianity in Lebanon where I think they are much better suited. I am trying to undo your page moves and redirects, primarily because they were not done in a way that complicated the article histories. I'm not sure though if I'm up to the task and will ask someone for help. I hope you don't mind. Tiamuttalk 00:36, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
I understand :) But don't worry, your efforts are not going down the drain. Your changes are excellent and we should make sure they remain in the article. Also, Tiamut added the same material to Christianity in Lebanon, for double safety ;) --Ⲗⲁⲛⲧⲉⲣⲛⲓⲝ[talk] 00:38, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

Adminship

Thanks for the support, but I purposefully dive into controversial topics head first, often playing devil's advocate for persons or groups that I'm not particularly fond of myself, in an attempt to reach consensus on neutral descriptions. It's just how I try to ensure that everything is written from a neutral point of view. As a side effect though, there are probably quite a few very opinionated editors who think me a terrible person as well, and would oppose any attempt for adminship. That said, maybe one day I'll change my mind and give it a go, but for now I'm happy just trying to improve whatever articles I can. :) ← George talk 10:33, 27 September 2009 (UTC)

I started to discuss a possible move here at the Olympics WikiProject as I didn't notice there was an active editor on the Francophone Games. It appears that the English-speaking press have begun to use "Francophone Games" in preference to "Jeux de la Francophonie". Compare the usages of Jeux de la Francophonie and Francophone Games on google. The competition hasn't had much coverage in English in the past, but I think this is changing during this year's Games. If "Francophone Games" continues to be used in preference to "Jeux de la Francophonie" in English press reports, then an article move should be done. What do you think? Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)Join WikiProject Athletics! 21:47, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

I saw you added specific links to each event in the athletics competition in the calendar. However, I think a single results page detailing all the results of the finals (Athletics at the 2009 Jeux de la Francophonie) will do. The reason is two-fold: firstly, the athletes who don't make the final of a specific event are highly likely to be non-notable athletes, thus their inclusion is debatable. Secondly, events pages for each race/competition is very time-consuming – that is the reason why, beyond the Olympic Games and Athletics World Championships, you do not often find articles of this nature. I think the links should be removed, or redirected to the main 2009 athletics page. Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)Join WikiProject Athletics! 00:49, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I noticed this image. Have you taken it yourself or have you grabbed it from some webpage. I ask because of the low resolution. Rettetast (talk) 15:07, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

This image also looks like some webimage you have found. Please communicate so I don't have to begin searching on the Internet for these images. I am pretty sure they are copyvios by now, since many of the uploads are low res and have no metadata, or metadata that contradicts the file description etc. But it is better if that fact comes from you so that we can just delete the images that are copyvios and move on. Many of the images I have listed above are old uploads and it is not uncommon for users to do errors when they are new to Wikipedia. Please respond. Rettetast (talk) 21:47, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Basketball

Just finished making the basketball article for the 2009 Games, with help from the Portugese wiki. However, I'm missing some key bits of information.

Firstly, only a women's contest was held. Was this always planned this way? Or was a men's tournament cancelled? Secondly, Cyprus were leaders of Group A but were disqualified and did not play against France for their final game. Any idea why they were disqualified? I've searched for ages and still not found anything. Are there any French sources that discuss this? Cheers. Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)Join WikiProject Athletics! 08:48, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Excellent work. That should also be discussed on the main article in the "Games" > "Events" section above the "Sports/Cultural" section. I believe this bit of information could also give a good DYK if you want to put that in your suggestion at Talk:DYK! I'm almost done filling out all the competition results – just Table tennis to go. Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)Join WikiProject Athletics! 11:41, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
I'd forgotten about the Eurobasket competition. I assume that's the one you mean. I'll make a note that a men's tournament was scheduled but didn't go ahead due to a conflict with that tournament. Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)Join WikiProject Athletics! 11:50, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Jeita photos

I've found some private photos taken outside the grotto in 1998, I'll scan them and upload them next sunday. FunkMonk (talk) 18:04, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Here are three photos, I think the two first could be used in the article, and the third is just if we ever need one more for filer. They're all from right outside the grotto. The first one[4] is maybe the entrance or a café outside or something, don't remember, and the second is some kind of Jeita train, where you can see the teleferique arrival place in the background (I'm the boy on the left standing with the side to the camera by the way, my father took the picture, but I doubt he gives a damn if I release it under whatever license).[5] The last one is just a souvenir shop.[6] If you think any of them can be used, I'll crop and colour correct those ones and upload them to Commons. FunkMonk (talk) 23:07, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
You there? FunkMonk (talk) 18:33, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Found a Flickr profile of a guy who has images from inside the cave, I'll ask him if he will release them under Commons compatible licenses: http://www.flickr.com/photos/billandben/sets/72157611844374708/ FunkMonk (talk) 17:09, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

DYK for 2009 Francophone Games

Updated DYK query On October 10, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article 2009 Francophone Games, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

.

Thanks. I would cite a reference, but I have never found one. But I was there last year and the guy who looks after the quarry (has a cafe there) said there is a smaller stone in the next quarry. I went and measured it with a surveyor's tape, and it was substantially bigger. Don't have the measurements with me, but I seem to remember a meter wider and two meters longer. The evidence is in the photo.

There is also no great discussion in this section about the underground tunnels, which clearly demonstrate two construction phases on the site (one megalithic and one seemingly Roman). Again I have photos, but no references. Every reference I have found suggests that the entire site was Roman.

In addition, I have placed some more comments on the Baalbek discussion pages, as there is more that can be added to this page.

A tag has been placed on Green Party of Lebanon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Ironholds (talk) 22:13, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Green Party of Lebanon, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Green Party of Lebanon. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ironholds (talk) 22:21, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

The article is unreferenced and does not assert notability. Ironholds (talk) 23:43, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

RE: Maghen Abraham synagogue

Hi. You may somehow add a summary of this quote into the article, "Solidere’s reconstruction contract with the synagogue ensures that the place of worship remains under the ownership of the Jewish community and the building will not be destroyed." A Pat on the Back

Elie,
I just signed into my Wikipedia account for no reason at all (maybe I was a little nostalgic) and saw a message from you on my talk page. I'm sorry that my reply is like two months late—I'm sadly way too busy to contribute to Wikipedia anymore. But, it honestly makes me feel better knowing that people like you are there to take care of things. And do it superbly. You've done great a job with WP Lebanon and its child-articles. Sorry for the late reply

Sorry for the late reply, bit of a busy day! I haven't been able to find anything on the castle a part from that it was also known as Passe Saint-Guillaume and Castrum Constabularii, it seems to have been associated with the Constable of Tripoli post, perhaps the Constable was stationed there?[7] About Marie-Alphonsine Danil Ghattas; I was surprised that there are Catholics in Palestine to be honest, of course I'd known of Lebanese Maronites and Iraqi Chaldeans, but thought that most other Christians in the region were Eastern Orthodox (Palestinians, Jordanians and Syrians)? - Yorkshirian (talk) 20:09, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi Elie! I have not been on wiki in awhile and thank you for the invite I have joined. Lebanese bebe (talk) 00:13, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Elie, Why did you delete "WISSAM SHEKHANI" page?

You deleted a very important page about a contemporary lebanese polymath "WISSAM SHEKHANI" who is so much contributing in the intellectual and cultural development of Lebanon. Why would you Elie delete aricles about lebanese intellectuals ?!! Aren't you lebanese? Don't you want to support Lebanese artists and inventors?! We need your full support please to bring back the page of "Wissam Shekhani"; the surprising issue that we found all the Lebanese singers and dancers in Wkipedia, but only rare Lebanese Intellectuals and Scientists !!! Are you deleting them? Regards, Fans of Wissam Shekhani Thank you —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.96.174.161 (talk) 21:31, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

I donno where i should reply so ill do it here, the answer is quite simple please read WP:Notability. I have never heard of the guy, ill give an example of a notable lebanese scientist who has proven himself on the international scene Pierre Zalloua is a great man who ironically does not have a wikipedia entry in his name, so i am creating one right now. Wikipedia has rules, i make sure these rules are respected, do not take it personally, wikipedia is not a CV repository, it is not a fan site and is not a site to display vanity. Temple photos

Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the Eshmun Temple, and its one of the places I'm planning on spending time at on the next trip. August was also a bad time to visit (The heat is fine but the humidity was sometimes painful) so I spent too little time near the coast - Peripitus (Talk) 20:25, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

Not in UNIFIL; it does not look like a fun job. I've got lots of relatives there and August was the marriage season. - 20:33, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
Australian, though married into a Lebanese family. Would go over there more often but the cost of flying from Australia is prohibitive. Peripitus (Talk) 20:42, 4 December 2009 (UTC)

Arriving

In writing, there are are always small matters for possible improvement. (Arthur C. Clarke, after years, rewrote one of his fine stories, but didn't improve it in any substantial way, imho.) At some point, a writer needs to be "internally directed". I think you're there.

Hi Nr. 2

Hello and thank you very much for creating the discussion page. I usually write in the german Wikipedia: [8] and sometimes do small correctios in other ones. Today I introduced the interwikis for Marie-Alphonsine Danil Ghattas because the robots weren´t doing that. My nickname comes from Pope Miltiades. Hi Eli+. Thank you, and I hope you had a happy holidays as well. Regarding the issue you mentioned, the diff you linked would indeed indicate that the user is the same as the blocked IP address editor. "Decent" → "descent"? Absolutely. But I'm not sure what you meant with "blonde" → "blond". — The Man in Question (in question) 08:17, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

hey sorry for putting my nose where it doesn't belong, i did not mean to upset you, it was probably my way to express how much i enjoyed reading your page. why "blond"?, it must be the influence of Mrs. Ljudmila our Russian- English teacher who favored UK English for some reason. Both are right mate, don't worry, technically i did not ruin your page :D . The way i see it, i say "blond hair" vs "she is blonde" _ " a blonde girl". Eli+ 21:26, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
No, I wasn't upset. I use blonde for girls, blond for boys, brunette for girls, brunet for boys. — The Man in Question (in question) 01:28, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
