Thank you
[edit]I have gone through your edit log and have added all the links you suggested that had not already been added by someone else. The links all seem to me appropriate and valuable, so I suggest that you be WP:BOLD and start adding them to articles yourself—as the COI guideline explicitly allows you to do—and just dropping a note on the talk pages letting people know and disclosing your affiliation with the site linked to. If anyone has a serious objection to a specific link, let them raise it on the talk page. -- Zsero (talk) 15:55, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks Zsero for the encouragement to be WP:BOLD, which I will do! Thanks also for adding the links - it would seem that users have found them valuable as referrals are already coming through. Eleworth (talk) 02:24, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Links to Culture Victoria website
[edit]Could you stop adding links to the Culture Victoria website until the links actually work. I think you have a problem with the website which does not display correctly. Cuddy Wifter (talk) 03:03, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the feedback. That's no good if some of the links didn't work. I do test them after publishing, but perhaps a few slipped through. I am making some updates now, so will test them all again. With regards to there being a problem with the website, it can display inconsistently in IE6. It is stable in other browsers.--Eleworth (talk) 02:38, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:30, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Your recent addition of Culture Victoria links to the External links section of many Wikipedia articles is beginning to look like Link Spamming. Please look at the Guideline WP:LINKSPAM. If there is anything in the CV article which can expand on the Wki article, please insert it and povide an in-line citation. Otherwise you are just promoting the Culture Victoria website, which is Link Spamming. Cuddy Wifter (talk) 07:02, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up. I did review the 'External links' page and as we have copyright issues around integrating the content (which comes from authoritative sources) I thought we fell under point 3 of the 'What can normally be linked' section. But, do understand your concerns. I may have gotten over enthusiastic and will remove a number of links immediately.Eleworth (talk) 07:44, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
