- Hi and welcome! Sure I'll adopt you, no problems. I noticed you haven't been given the official welcome, so I'll give it to you now, above- it's got some good links and tips in it. Most of what you need to get started is in there, and I found it helped a lot. It's probably a good idea to read what's relevant to what you'd be doing- the Getting Started section's good to look at, and there's a lot on editing in the Policies and Guidelines section that will help you. Other than that, it's best to just make your way around with Things to Do- it's the best way to gain experience.
- Out of interest, what articles are you interested in?
- Are there any questions you have now? If you need any help, feel free to ask me anything.
- Again, welcome! CattleGirl talk | sign! 02:39, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the welcome. ^.^
- The articles that I'm interested the most in are those about Gothic Metal/Opera Metal bands. Other ones I'm interested in are those on mythology.
- Any tips on how to create a new article would be helpful. :D

- You're welcome!
- Gothic and opera metal... I'm into alternative rock and alternative metal myself, but it's nice to see more editors interested in the music articles.
- Any tips? The main thing I try to do is to try to keep a formal tone, and try to stay neutral- it's quite easy to just talk about one area when the article is about something in the world, or to overly praise something when you're writing. There's not really any strict rules on Wikipedia, but just guidelines- you should be able to find most things on the Wikipedia:Five pillars page.
- If you want to ask a question or some advice, either ask me on my talk page, or you can ask at the New Contributors' Help Page, or the Help Desk.
- I hope this helped you, if not, feel free to ask me anything. Cheers, and Happy Editing- CattleGirl talk | sign! 08:12, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Adoption
[edit]Hi, EldoraLuthiena. Sorry I haven't contacted you in ages! I was wondering if you were still interested in adoption, as you were when I last talked to you. If you don't want to continue adoption, just drop me a note on my talk page and I'll remove the templates. Otherwise, any questions, just ask! Cheers- CattleGirl talk | sign! 05:37, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:58, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
