Welcome again
[edit]I want to give a more specific welcome, but note that Wikipedia has a (large) number of guidelines, some of which you are accidentally violating. The ones I've noted so far are:
- WP:OVERLINK, specifying that obvious words (such as, for example, Canada) should generally not be Wikilinked. (It should be noted that I opposed the addition of that section, but there was a WP:CONSENSUS in favor, and I feel a duty to follow that unless that consensus is overturned.)
- WP:INTDAB, specifying that disambiguation pages such as Republican should not be linked to except under exceptional circumstances.
- WP:SEAOFBLUE, specifying that adjacent words should generally not both be Wikilinked.
- WP:NOTCENSORED. (Enough said. You're not violating it, you are merely proposing it should be violated.)
- WP:TALK, describing, among other things, the appropriate format for talk pages.
- WP:SIGNATURE, describing how you should generally "sign" talk page posts using ~~~~.
If you check my edit history, you'll find that I've violated a number of guidelines toward the beginning of my editing "career", so please don't take this personally. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me (on my talk page) or by adding a {{help}} template to (this) talk page. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 12:11, 3 June 2013 (UTC) ——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Thank you for introducing the basic concepts of Wikipedia. WikiProject Wikify: Current Backlog Reduction Plan
[edit]Hey, I noticed you marked yourself as a member of WikiProject Wikify and you are currently listed as active. I was wondering if you would be able to assist with our current backlog reduction plan. While traditional drives are more structured month-long sprints by WikiProject Wikify members, there is currently lacking activity within the project and in order to significantly reduce the incredible backlog, members are encouraged to review all articles marked with the Underlinked Template Message - {{underlinked}} - a list of which can be found here - to analyze the worthiness of the template message on the given article. Articles that have nothing to link or are have had wikilinks sufficiently added should have the template removed to clear the backlog and make it easier for editors to find articles in genuine need of wikification. This can be done by any editor; however, all editors should consider joining if they haven't done so already. Thank you!
