I saw that you deleted my two files (emblems of Eärendil and Thingol) on Common. Are you sure these are to be considerated as derivative? These are only reproductions of geometrical paterns (which were never meant to be published by Tolkien). (Plus the English Wikipedia uses some pictures of the same type, but picked from a web article, such https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Finwe.gif.) I admit I am not familiar with copyright law (especialy American one), but I was genuinely surprised that my files were deleted for infrigement to copyright policy. If so, any fictional heraldic device should be deleted too, souldn't it? Shouldn't I delete also the picture of the Star of Feänor (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Etoile_de_Feanor.svg), which is alos based on a drawing by Tolkien and quite peculiar?
Anyway, thank you to answer me and clarify those things for me :)
