In case you didn't see it...

Here's the best pieces of advice for the future:

  1. create drafts of articles that are fully compliant before moving into articlespace
  2. do not communicate via edit summaries
  3. do not remove CSD tags from articles you create yourself
  4. WP:BLP's must be properly sourced before being live articles
  5. always try to resolve issue directly with the other editor before coming to WP:ANI

Professional wrestling in Puerto Rico

[edit]

Thanks for the great article! I think that if you focus more on its encyclopedic content you will be able to develop it into a WP:GOODARTICLE. For example, did you know that professional wrestling is the highest source of income within the sports entertainment industry in Puerto Rico? If you focus on its economic aspect you will find out that not only will people accept the industry but encourage its development. Good luck! —Ahnoneemoos (talk) 13:44, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Leopoldo López

[edit]

Hello El Alternativo,

I recently noticed an egregious BLP violation on the Czech page of Leopoldo López found here. The content violates Wikipedia's BLP policy and the source they are using is far from reliable. I tried fixing it but I was quickly reverted. Do you think you could help me out in trying to remove this information? I noticed you made some significant edits to Leopoldo Lopez's English page so I decided to come to you for help. Thank you in advance!

Actually, I only restored a few vandalized sections in LL's page. The only reason that I edited the Venezuelan pages was because of my ability to understand the Spanish sources, not because of profound knowledge about the topic or a particular interest in it. I can't understand Czech and online translations don't help me in understanding exactly what is being added/reverted there. El Alternativo (talk) 00:36, 30 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

P.R. wrestling

[edit]

Que es exactamente lo q quieres hacer? 01:21, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. WWC

[edit]

It should be split off. It will work. Only issue will be sourcing. Not sure it can make it to FL. No official site I can find of to help be a general ref. Otherwise it will be a large amount of work to get several third party refs that are reliable.--WillC 23:36, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah that seems to work. If you need anymore help let me know.--WillC 02:00, 30 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
AAA Mega Championship and List of TNA King of the Mountain Champions are the most recent FLs.--WillC 19:41, 30 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
When you are finished with it let me know. I see some issues primarily in the reference department and in linking for the table. Tables are an exception to overlinking so absolutely everything is linked every single time no matter how many instances of it in the table.--WillC 07:27, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Survey Invite

[edit]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH?Q_DL=3dz0m2ubQw1KSnb_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH_MLRP_6KAqm41WHuLptJj&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 19:54, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Sol, Puerto Rico

[edit]

Hello, El Alternativo,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Sol, Puerto Rico should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sol, Puerto Rico .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Carlito

[edit]

Buenas.

--HHH Pedrigree (talk) 11:06, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:ELA Soberano 2012.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:ELA Soberano 2012.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. plicit 00:12, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
